The place is ok and very near the park, the small city, bank, and bus stop... I its a place that you can see many small animals like monkeys and lizards. If you like flowers, the owners has a special garden with some exotics...

These cabins are rustic but high-quality. You really feel that you're in the countryside - at night it's totally dark and silent except for the noise of the jungle. The German couple who run the place are very friendly. There's a shared kitchen (with wifi). About 5 minutes' walk from the bus station or the centre of Cahuita, which has...

Everything was perfect at this place: location, quality of the rooms, shared kitchen, service, etc. Excellent value for the money spent. Nice owners, excellent service. Hawler monkeys and parrots might wake you up at 6am. Amazing!

We have been traveling for six months and stayed in places all over the world. Alby Lodge was a true highlight and we kept extending our stay because: -Yvonne and Thomas were incredible hosts!! - The cabins were perfectly designed; the screens kept out unwanted "guests" and let in cool breezes, the mosquito nets, the hooks made from driftwood, the...

My husband and I stayed here - and overall liked it. Pros: The cabins are well made, and have all the essentials. The grounds are well manicured and taken care of. We loved the hammock. Mosquito net was working/ did not have too many holes. Cons: Large amount of ants on the floor which wouldn't leave (we did not eat...

We spent 2 nights at Alby Lodge, and we loved it. There are only 4 cabins, and lots of landscaped space. The cabins had a great thatched roof, lots of woodwork, a hammock, and mosquito nets over the beds. I saw several mosquitos hanging around the outside of the nets, so they were necessary. There is a nice common area...

We went to the Alby Lodge about a week ago for two days and for beauty this place has it all, beautiful cabins, lush greenery, lots of monkeys...those things alone make it worth it as a place to stay. Then the price is also a factor at $55/night, which is excellent.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful lodge/cabinas. We had a very nice Cabana, probably the most beautiful / romantic one we had in CR, all in cozy and shiny wood and tastefully decorated. It is located in a beautiful garden and the room is spacious, very lofty (high roof and one window to terrace could be opened completely) so...

Yvonne and Thomas are very helpful. I was late a day in coming and they graciously rearranged accommodations to fit my needs, they brought me...

We stayed there for a week in 2011 and again in 2014. Both times Alby Lodge was the highlight of our trip. The cabins are rustic but clean and charming. The grounds are beautiful. Yvonne and Thomas are gracious and helpful hosts. There is a resident sloth and a troop of monkeys on hand. The cabins are a three minute...
