What a trip. Drove from Poas Lodge near the Poas Volcano and it took a little over a couple hours to get there. Had an appointment for 2:00 P.M. and was early so when to town and had a great pizza and beer for lunch. When we returned, we started by having an introduction to the wonderful work that Leslie...

True angels run this place which is around a half hour drive from the capital, San Jose. Carol took us around on a photography tour and we couldn't have been more happier and overwhelmed by the experience. We saw toucans, owls, Mexican hairy porcupines, otters, grison, spider monkeys and lots of sloths, including the babies! They work so hard here...

Leslie and our guide, Pedro, were fantastic. We did breakfast with the babies and I could not have been more excited to see sloths and a baby monkey! I literally could not wipe the smile off my face. It is in all of our group pictures. This trip is so worth it and you will love every second you learn...

This was such an amazing place to go to see animals of all kind. We did the breakfast with baby sloths tour on and it was absolutely amazing. It is a very easy drive from San Jose. The people working there was really what made it such a great place to visit. Our guide, Pedro, was so informative about each...

We cannot say enough for everyone all involved who make this wonderful facility a success. To the owner, Leslie....your story of one of the sloths, "your miracle sloth". The emotion in your voice proves that these animals are so fortunate to have found you and everyone involved. Job Well Done!

We have become very sceptical about "Rescue Centres" as we have seen quite a few that have dubious 'rescue' credentials but a few tame animals that tourists can have their photo taken with - for a price. This place however is a genuine rescue centre that lets tourists in to help pay the bills. It has outgrown it's initial Toucan...

My husband and I did the breakfast with babies tour, on our last morning in San Jose before flying home. It is a convenient location for a great trip away from the city, and a very easy journey for when you want to escape San Jose. The visit feels quite informal and not staged at all, so you get to...

We did the morning tour which I would highly recommend, I wish I had known they had a bed and breakfast - will definatly go back and stay there! Learned...

A most amazing time to say the least! Friendly hosts and Pedro our guide was great in explaining the stories that brought each bird or animal the to this incredible sanctuary. A delicious breakfast was served as we listened to the sounds of tropical birds and watched as the baby sloths get their morning exercise and food! The toucans were...

We did the Breakfast with the Babies tour, which included home-cooked food and an arm's distance from all of the baby sloths and monkeys. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and there were a ton of photo opportunities. It was an excellent trip and totally worth the donation. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
