We stayed 2 nights as we were driving up the coast. The hotel was 3 blocks or so from the downtown area, but well marked and easy to find. It was 10 or 12 min walk. We enjoyed the private deck with plunge pool at our unit--there are 3 units at the top of maybe 40 or 50 steps, so...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Tamarindo Village. Yes, we are built on a hillside 300 meters outside town, which is great for views and peace and quiet. But being on the hillside means we have some stairs if you are staying on the upper levels and that might be an issue. But mostly it...

When we arrived at Tamarindo Village, Steve and Martha were there to greet us. Instantly our family (20 of us) was treated like Steve and Martha's extended family. The surroundings were incredible, lush vegetation surrounding the pool area. The rooms were better than advertised, perfect for our 8 day stay. Tamarindo village is in a great location because you are...

By far the best accommodations we had in Costa Rica. Steve and Martha will treat you like family. The rooms are like little homes with everything you need! There is a ktichen, living room, TV and the most comfy beds! We were so impressed by this little gem.

Wonderful little boutique hotel. There are 7 separate bungalows. Several have private plunge pools on their patio. Lots of lush foliage for plenty of privacy. Downstairs living area and small kitchen, as well as large bathroom with outside shower. It is screened at the top so you can still see the sky and surrounding foliage, but no visitors can get...

Thanks so much, Laurie, for writing a review to help others get insight into our hotel. We believe Tamarindo Village to be unique in Tamarindo. There are other hotels and B&B's here, but none with the combination of room size, jacuzzi pools, large private exterior patios, and lots of quiet to provide a sanctuary to recharge after enjoying wonderful Tamarindo...

Had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Steve and Martha were very gracious hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. They offered great advice on local activities and great places to eat. They were quick to oblige if we needed something and then left us with great privacy to enjoy the beautiful setting. The accommodation was very cute with the loft bed....

We were there March 2016 for 6 days, the owners are an incredible family! We felt like we were staying with close friends. The place is charming and incredibly cozy. Our little villa had its own little jacuzzi area where we were able to sunbathe privately. My husband was a little skeptical at first, we dropped off a mother and...

Thank you, Monica. We agree that we are uniquely designed for couples looking for time away from stress to be together in private surroundings, plenty of quiet, yet close to the beach and the action in downtown Tamarindo. Nonetheless, families still enjoy their time here as well. A little something for everyone. Best wishes for continued happiness in your married...

Eight individual bungalows, sporadically spaced up a densely lush hill, you can't help but feel you are in your own private oasis. Beautiful view of the Pacific, walking distance to Tamarindo, and a 30 minute drive from even more beautiful beaches like Playa La Penca and Playa Conchal. Website is true to form, perhaps even less so because you truly...

We think your review hit the right tone completely. This is why we bought the hotel almost 3 years ago: It's unique for its location and amenities such as ocean views, privacy, and the jacuzzi pools, which allow a "best-of-all-worlds" experience here in Tamarindo. Thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to tell others.
