The place is within walking distance to the town and beach in a quiet area. It has a nice kitchen and is very clean. It had a single bed downstairs to sit on to watch TV which wasn't comfortable and would have been better to have a sofa there or a bed settee. The bed upstairs was comfortable but the...

Great small hotel only a short walk from center of town. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, this is your place. Nice big rooms, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff. I will be staying here again.

Tamarindo Yam was a great spacious hotel. We had 3 beds, 2 full bathrooms and a full kitchen. The back patio was great to hang wet towels from the beach and wet swimsuits to dry. The full kitchen was great to cook our food from the grocery store or the farmers market. It was very quite for sleeping too. The...

We felt ourselves lucky to enjoy some peace and quiet at Tamarindo Yam. The staff were very welcoming and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. Importantly we were grateful to be away from the often raucous centre of town. However town, shop to buy food and drink and beach were a few minutes steps away. It felt safe and we enjoyed...

This is the first bad review I have ever written. My husband and I landed in tamarindo to celebrate our honey moon. We booked the yam as it was decent location and mid priced. Upon arrival the first room we got had a broken safe and air conditioner leaking liquid down the wall so we were moved. Our second room...

Our family very much enjoyed our few nights at the Yam. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the hotel was clean. We appreciated having the kitchen and eating area and the patio off the kitchen. This is a very nice hotel, and a good value for the money.

This is not a bad little hotel but it is certainly not "high class." The units are well built with some nice woodwork but the mattress on the bed was HORRIBLE. The bedding was shabby and some of the towels had seen better days. The kitchen was minimally equipped. We asked for a few things (like a toaster oven and...
