We stayed here at the end of our 3 week Costa Rica Trip for some R & R. Lovely location at the end of the Tamarindo beach so quiet. Excellent staff with good service. Nice restaurant with decent food. Tamarindo is a surf town so we expected it to be a bit in your face but even in high season...

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Capitan Suizo 2 years ago on our honeymoon. We aren't the all-inclusive type that stays at luxury hotels because it is not our nature. Everything about this beachfront getaway is perfect. If you are looking for a little R&R within a 10 to 15 minute beachfront stroll into town -...

I stayed at three hotels while on my trip to Costa Rica - and this was the best by far!!! Room rates are reasonable, food is very good and fairly priced, and the staff is exceptional. I would like to specifically point out the masseuse as being amazing. I highly suggest getting a massage. At times it felt like she...

We're glad of the decision to book the beach holiday at Capitan Suizo and not at a hotel in the center of Tamarindo. It's hard to decide what's the best: The staff, the service, the rooms, the meals, the garden with the animals, the beach, .... sorry, forgot the (beach-) bar ;-) The four day beach holiday extention at Capitan...

The hotel is a beautiful sanctuary at the quite end of a picturesque and bustling beach. It is a perfect place for families of all ages as well as couples and single travelers. The food is good, the service friendly and excellent. The beautiful grounds are well kept and clean. There are activities galore but it is also the perfect...

My wife and I did our due diligence when researching our honeymoon vacation and we settled on Capitan Suizo. From arrival to departure and even before it was all incredible. The booking guy who set us up was extremely responsive and warm. We traded about 20 emails as my wife uses a wheelchair and had specific needs. The staff is...

Our family just returned home to Minneapolis after a very enjoyable stay in Costa Rica. This was the third year in a row we have stayed at Capitan Suizo, and we expect to be back next year. The hotel again surpassed our expectations. The accommodations were great, and the food was fantastic. What makes Capitan Suizo special, however, is the...

Capitan Suizo was the first place we stayed in Tamarindo. It was beautiful walking to the beach thru there court yard we had monkeys jumping over head. Went up to the bar for a very tasty drink then straight out to the most beautiful soft sand beach. Truly a must do experience.

We had a "Superior" room that was air conditioned. It was incredibly spacious and clean. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. I hope to come back very soon. The beach was great. The sunsets were the best I have ever experienced. The free breakfast was great. The other meals were also as good as any we found in town (all...

Our family just returned from 6 nights at Capitan Suizo. We loved it! The location of the pool/bar/dining area near the beach made it ideal for us to watch our children while we enjoyed a little quiet time. Also, we didn't have to "pack up" for the beach as our room was a 2 minute walk away. The surf on...
