I've stayed at Zullymar 3 times in the last 2 yrs and really enjoyed it. The rooms are super clean and the price is pretty average for what you get, especially with the 10% cash discount. The staff there are super nice and helpful. In the evening, they close the gates to the property and have security, so you always...

We stayed for 3 nights (we planed on less but we loved the place), we took the cheaper rooms that don't have a tv or safe and no private balcony since we didn't need al that, the room was right by the pool (which is clean, big and the reason we stayed) and was 46$ instead of 53 (we paid...

I stayed at Hotel Zullymar for two nights. The location of the hotel is great: Just 100m to the beach...shops, bars, restaurants and travel-agencies within walking distance. At night there is quite a bit of noise from traffic and discos. But I brought good earplugs, so I was fine. The hotel exterior and the pool area are in excellent shape....

I travelled to Tamarindo with a friend in February 2011 and stayed here for 6 nights. We booked online, simply by email and they answered within a few hours and didn't even ask for our credit card number, which we thought was great. We checked-in around 6pm and it was quick and efficient. There isn't always someone at the front...

I'll start off by saying that my partner and I dislike resorts, which is how we ended up here. So, if youre looking for fanciness, pool bars and being pampered to death, then disregard this hotel and go down the street. After arriving in Tamarindo in the off-season by public transport ($20 from San Jose to Tamarindo!!), we scooted our...

Stayed one night. Great central location in Tamarindo. Friendly local staff don't speak much English but recommended some good local restaurants. Pool and property we well kept and rooms were comfortable, albeit no-frills.

Me and my best friend went to Tamarindo for New Years 2010 and we booked this hotel over the internet based on their great prices and photos. I can honestly say that the outside of the hotel is average but the room that we ere given was HORRIBLE!!! If youre traveling to Costa Rica just know that HOTEL ROOMS AT...

We stayed for 1 night in mid-may 2009 and wish I had more time to spend around the pool and exploring Tamarindo. The room we stayed in ($60 for 3 - offseason rates) was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool with a big balcony and high ceilings. 2 double beds, AC, a mini fridge, TV (which we didn't even...

stayed at the Zullymar one night cause we arrived tired and it was right beside the bus stop, it was just OK for $61.00- no breakfast and the room wasn't too clean but mostly it was the surley staff that got us to leave the next day. We went to the NAHUA up the street it was great.

We moved here after two nights at the Tamarindo Villas Villas Best Western. Better location, much better price and they don't keep birds in cages (see review of BW). The room was clean, large, comfortable, and had a nice patio overlooking the pool. We were in 110 which is on the 2nd floor. Lots of parking, very secure (guards at...
