Good place to just chill and have a drink while listening to US pop music. Service is a little slow so you're better off going up to bar to get a drink. We hung there twice late at night. The chicken and fish tacos were good too.

I lived at the hostel for two days, and it was really nice! Other than that, we came at the bar a lot of times. They have great food and drinks as well. And the atmosphere is very laid back, and there is space for everyone.

I spent a week with Jonathan working on my surfing. He is an amazing instructor. Planned out the lessons, helped me work on technique and get rid of some "bad habits" I had developed on my own surfing summers only on the great lakes. He knew just how much information to give me so I wouldn't be overwhelmed but still...

We love a party, love a beer and love hanging out. However this place need to decide whether it's a nightclub or a hostel / 'surf camp'. If you're room is on the left hand side of the building you're in serious trouble for any sleep whatsoever, you your bed is right in the bar with the music blaring (I...

Really welcoming and friendly employees. The rooms are super clean and taken care of. Good vibes all around, the bartenders keep the party alive. The breakfast is amazing, I recommend getting the private cabin, it's five dollars extra, breakfast included. If you are looking for surfing lessons, Jonathan is the man!! Very experienced, good teacher, even better person. A fun,...

We arrived at 3pm on Saturday, went to the Airbnb, cleaned up, grabbed dinner, and then set out for some late night fun. We found this place, the fun music, ping pong table, pool table, and crowd drew us in. We spent the next 3 hours drinking, dancing, signing at the top of our lungs, and laughing. This place was...

Staff are great -very helpful, food is good, kitchen is clean, rooms are comfortable and clean, bathroom is ok if you don't mind a few roaches. My biggest qualm is the noise- the adjoining bar blared music till 3 in the morning. If it's a bar, then that's fine, but when you're trying to get sleep it's a joke. We...

Came to la oveja negra because it was one of the cheaper hostels in town that also included a surf camp, and could not have been happier with my stay. Comfy dorm room with air conditioning, fast wifi, great hangout area, and an awesome bar/restaurant with very reasonable prices. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They set me up...
