I spend 5 days here . More than I expected. But the owner is great and helpful. People staying there are nice and you meet in the yard, sit in a hammock or go for a surf together. The place is super clean and tidy the rooms big enough. Especially the private rooms or apartments!!!! Even the dorms are big...

I stayed at Blue Trailz for a week and did their beginner surf camp. Kurt was a great teacher and I progressed a lot over the course of one week. The rooms were clean and had A/C which was a great plus given the heat at the time. I visited solo but everyone at the hostel was very friendly as...

I planned on staying here for 3 days but did not end up leaving for 11. The owners are so personable and helpful. The location is right across the street from the beach. The dorm itself was very clean and had a/c which is a huge plus!

This was such a good experience. I did the surf package 7 days here and met some of the best people. Rooms were cleaned everyday. The surf lessons were exceptional. I had one everyday with the coolest dude named Curt. He's from huntington beach California. Being a first time surfer these lessons were the best thing I could have done....

This place is awesome! It's immaculately clean and nice hostel. We came late around 5 pm and missed the laundry deadline around 4 pm. We rushed to backwash which claimed to be open til 8 pm but was closing at 5:30 and hence we had no laundry options. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but we'd been traveling for...

Blue Trailz was the perfect place to spend nine days after studying for the Texas Bar Exam for three straight months. My wife and I loved our private room, the location, the hammocks in the common area, and (most of all) our surf lessons with Kurt! Kurt is the bomb.com and I could not have been happier with our lessons....

Hei there, Just left blue trailz tamarindo after staying 10 days and having surf lessons with the amazing instructor kurt. Ask to be assigned with him, he'll get you up on the board, twisting and turning right away! Such a cool dude, outgoing and friendly, gives you good surfing tips to remember and advice on life in general. Rooms are...

I stayed here for 5 days. Here's why I loved this place: Location couldn't have been better, right in town next to the beach. Rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. When it was full, it had a bumpin' atmosphere. For example, it was packed on my birthday night on a Wednesday. The owner, Aleks, is awesome, and for...

Blue trails is great. It's small and you will get to know everyone there really quickly. Location is perfect between the beach and the main town. Owners are super nice. They even took the whole hostel for a hike at sunset. I was sad to leave. Blue trailz is truly the best hostel I've stayed at.

First off I'll start by saying this...I was planning on staying in Blue Trailz for only 3days. Fast forward 2 weeks later and I'm on a bus leaving Blue Trailz for the San Jose airport. I have nothing but awesome memories during my stay there. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable. The cleaning lady Marta, is probably the hardest...
