I've stayed at a number of the hostels in Tamarindo and can honestly say that Blue Trailz is the best. The place is totally safe and spotless, NO BUGS which is a rarity for the area. You're right across from the beach and a little grocery store which makes getting snacks and refreshments convenient and easy. The staff are friendly...

Overall my experience in this hostel was amazing for the following reasons: Location: Closest to the beach possible which allowed me to go check the wave condition before surfing and I could also go to the beach at night and do a bonfire or simply watch the stars. There are supermarkets conveniently in front of the hostel. The hostel doesn't...

Blue Trailz is a great hostel, next to all the action of Tamarindo and just a few steps from the gorgeous beach. The guys who run it are organised, hands-on and great with all the guests, and the staff they employ are super friendly and helpful. I had surf lessons whilst with them and my instructor (a 21-year-old kid named...

It might have been just me, but I really didn't like this hostel and I only stayed there one night. The common area is just really poorly designed and almost acts like a greenhouse and makes it unbearably hot. Whoever was working there at the time was pretty rude. The one great thing though is that the rooms are really...

We always welcome reviews from guests who stayed at Blue Trailz to help us improve. However, we have no record of you staying with us, and since you have written your review for a stay you claimed was a year ago, I think you might have confused some things. Regardless, you must understand that hostels have no influence on which...

One of my favorite hostels. Best location in town, right across from the beach. Small and very laid back vibe with cheap board rentals and hot showers. Highlyyy recommend for anyone traveling to Tamarindo. The staff was very helpful as well

This was my first ever stay at a hostel, I was always kinda scared of the concept especially as a single female traveler, but this experience proved me wrong. It was clean and safe and I met some pretty awesome people there. The surf instructor was a cool dude, on the third day of our surf lessons he took us...

Stayed at blue trailz for over a week, best hostel in town and one of the best in central Americas. Clean, quiet, awesome location, a real home away from home. Gretel who is a surf instructor and also mans the front desk sometimes is super friendly and went out of her way to accommodate us on many occasions with her...

This hostel was the best hostel I stayed during my trip. Its very clean and the rooms are really good! The beds are very nice and you've got AC :-) The atmosphere in the hostel is great because its quite small so you get to know everybody very quick. Location and staff were also great, would really recommend staying here!

I love this place. I have stayed here at least 5 times! The staff always treat me like gold (even if I don't deserve it sometimes ;-) If you want a smaller more intimate hostel experience with a great socializing space. THIS HOSTEL IS FOR YOU
