Hotel was beautiful, room and view were beautiful, but...our stay was not so beautiful... We were only checked into the hotel for about half a day (from a little after noon to around midnight), and in the short span of time, we had a LOT of issues. First, we came back after a day at the beach only to find...

My traveling companion had stayed at the Mirador over 10 years ago and when it came time to plan our vacation this hotel was at the top of his list. I"m glad it was. As noted by others this hotel is on the north end of town, up on a hillside. It takes about 5 min to walk to the...

In December our family visited The Mirador, an apartment/hotel located in a village on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. As usual, since we have been to the hotel many times, we all had a wonderful time. Max Mahlich, the owner/manager, is hospitable and honest and strives to be helpful whenever possible. He helps to schedule outings and expeditions, gives...

I have visited the Mirador twice and will be going back in February with some friends. I have always greatly enjoyed the hotel and Max. The hotel is situated on a hill to catch the breezes and to provide a great view of Samara. The rooms were clean and the kitchens were one of the reasons we chose this hotel....

I am writing in response to the poor review of the Mirador de Samara Hotel posted to this website on 6 January 2007. Like previous reviews, I highly recommend the Mirador. My family has stayed at the hotel on four occasions since 1994; most recently for 2 weeks in Dec 2006. The rooms are very spacious - more than enough...

We were so disappointed we refused to check in and forfeited our deposit. Instead, we booked down the road at Las Brisas Del Pacifico, which is Frommer's #1 choice at a slightly lower price. It was like trading in a 40 year old never refurbished Super 6 hotel for a quality hotel right on the beach. The Mirador had bare...

prepayment, owner at Mirador de Samara, responded to this review

The complaining guest made a reservation with a prepayment of 1 night. Arriving he said he might prefer a hotel right on the beach and therefore stay here just 1 night or receive his money back. He came back at 4pm saying that he would leave right now to the other beach hotel where he made a prepayment. He wanted...

we loved the Aparthotel Mirador in Samara. The place was very clean and well appointed. The apartments had nice kitchens which allowed us to cook in some and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Max, the owner was great, knowledgeable about excursions and all things Costa Rica. We will for sure be back and highly recommend staying at Max's place.

Just got back from CR where we visited the Nicoya Peninsula from Nosara south to Montezuma and Tambor. Can't say enough about the Flying Crocodile Lodge. We (two couples) rented one of the large Oriental-style rooms for 90.00 including taxes and breakfast. Fantastic rooms, absolutely fantastic grounds! Rooms have fans and AC and fridges and an incredible bathroom that both...
