Upon check-in it's all about money straight away - their main concern. No warmth and excitement, which you expect in a holiday resort. No wifi in rooms - which they clearly haven't had for a long time, as I can see from previous reviews - I was given no explanation or solution and couldn't work from my room. I asked about the Christmas meal and Victor, the assistant manager said that they didn't do anything specific (despite messages I have to the contrary, saying that they did) and that I would need to come to reception at 8.30am - to queue and get reservation for one of the 3 restaurants - just what you want to do on vacation. Hand over around $1400 for 3 nights and set an alarm to get a dinner reservation. Where is the sense in this? Why not allow guests to reserve a table upon check-in or between 11-12? Just another inconvenience, that makes you feel as though you're of no importance to them. The 2 bed / one bedroom apartments are hostel- like in their appearance and vibe - I felt as though I had stepped back in time, to the 1940's. Double beds are tiny - I don't carry a tape measure, but am pretty sure they're large singles. Sleeping with my 6'6" husband wasn't easy and it was extremely hot as the air-con kept breaking and leaking on and off, we had to have the maintenance people out a few times. When I told reception, I was told I should inform Booking.com! My daughter has an auto immune illness, so I had to set her up on the horrible excuse for a sofa bed as I was concerned about her over heating and inhaling AC coolant. My son was extremely uncomfortable and due to sensory issues that come with autism, he struggled with sleep (temp changes/noises/ which in turn affect us all. Broken sleep, subpar food, rude staff and a horrible sense of regret was all consuming and an extremely depressing end to our holiday. Very steep hill to get to the main part of hotel. I sometimes use a walking aid due to a spinal illness. I wasn't told about this. Staff are indifferent and rude - they don't care about your stay or make the children feel excited or included. One young, male member of staff laughed at me whilst I was crying in despair about the accommodation and the other issues/complaints. The food is repetitive and has hardly any taste. They reheat yesterday's food. The staff are rude, they don't smile and act as though you're an annoyance, even when my children were getting an ice cream or something from the candy floss stand, I saw their blank/indifferent expressions - it made my children uncomfortable to go back to them One staff member - Lewis, the barman, was absolutely brilliant and they don't deserve him! There's no pool table, as advertised. No customer care. They did nothing special for Xmas day. No entertainment. This place's saving grace is its view. The pools are nice. Upon check-out, the scissors were straight out to remove my all inclusive wrist band - no question as to whether I enjoyed my stay or a gesture to say we could stay and have some lunch whilst waiting for our transport to the airport. I had asked a driver we'd had the previous day, what the cost would be for airport transfer - apparently he'd been in reception for an hour waiting for us just before we left our room - as I didn't have wifi in my room, he couldn't get hold of me. Why didn't reception call the phone in my room or come and tell me?! So rude and incompetent. I then had to get the tour organizer, Javier, to get a taxi for me - we waited an hour and paid $60 - despite being told there was a free airport transfer in our booking details So much false advertising - no pool table, no transfer, no wifi, no smart tv, no Christmas meal or celebrations. Despite the 35* degree heat, the atmosphere was subzero. …
