Our room was fresh and very clean, good bathroom, and plenty of monkeys in the trees. Just a short walk to a gorgeous beach and great hosts. Our favorite spot was the little open air restaurant with excellent food. The management discouraged the amazing blue tropical birds that would land on our table but we loved them. Very friendly place.

We loved La Marejada! Just off Gail and Marco are wonderful hosts. Beautiful pool and palms and clean refreshing rooms to relax in after a day chasing waves! We ate at their adorable quaint restaurant where everything is made fresh! Best shrimp I've had in Costa Rica! Excellent food. I highly recommend this beach getaway for anyone looking to relax...

Small quaint hotel, perfectly situated 50 meters from the beach. The rooms are extremely clean and well kept. The pool is a really nice touch after spending the day on the beach. Gail is an excellent host and Marcos food in the restaurant is excellent. The Shrimp and snapper dishes were the best we've had in Costa Rica. I highly...

We did not stay here. We stayed next door. But we had drinks here several times, and sushi on Sunday night (a big deal in Playa Grande, with the only sushi chef in the area)... The sushi was a delightful surprise - good, fresh local fish, delicious. Had numerous glasses of white sangria while we gorged on sushi. Get there...

Gail was friendly and welcoming as we arrived at the hotel. She showed us everything to the path to the beach, also the way to get to Tamarindo. The room was clean and cosy. The bed was extremely comfortable. We tried fish tacos at the restaurant and it was delicious along with Pina Colada. One little thing was we could...

Small hotel near the beach run by Marco, an Italian with little English skills and even less interest in guests or service. Restaurant has decent food - look out for the nights when Fernando serves sushi on fish he fishes himself, highly recommended!

We wanted a nice place to stay for one night on our trip from Liberia to San Francisco de Coyote. We booked through booking.com. Didn't want to spend a lot, just a nice place to sleep. We were so happily surprised. Hotel a little bit difficult to find (we are from the USA so are accustomed to street signs which...

Nice place, friendly owner, didn't use the restaurant just buy a lemonade, didn't like it. Rooms very clean, good bathroom size.Is good to know that from 6 pm the beach is closed for the turtles and there's no much to do during the night, if you're looking for a quiet place and far away from the clubs, this is your place.

La Marejada was a great place to stay at Playa Grande. The Restaurant part of it was fantastic too. The owner was a lovely woman who made sure everyone had a great time. The rooms were kept cool by a good air conditioner and the beds were nicely done and comfy for a restful sleep. Just a short walk to...

The 8 rooms are clean but very basic. The location near the beach is good. The manager is friendly. The price is reasonable. Breakfast in the restaurant was good. A good choice for surfers. Playa Grande is experiencing a drought so water may be rationed.
