Re-iterating what my wife Rosanda said, this was a great place to stay and Rick was a truly great host. Our girls still talk about it, specifically the pool, the relaxed atmosphere and the cooking with Rick. Thanks again.

Rick, our host is a charming, thoughtful host who cares that you have great time. The pool area with adjacent dining room and lounge was paradise for the children and we enjoyed the view. We enjoyed going to the fish market for the catch of the day and then cooking fish with Rick in the kitchen space. The breakfast waffles...

My wife and I had a great trip for Costa Rica. Small open air bed and breakfast atmosphere with a pool and self serve late night bar and kitchen space. Accomodates eight rooms only so no crowds. Great breakfast spread with plenty of exotic fruits and waffles to accompany. Hosted by Rick whom has a great knowledge of area restaurants...

For my wife and I, Rancho Armadillo provided all we were looking for: -Quiet and isolation -Great birding -Comfort -Easy access to the Playa (when needed) The owner, Rick, may remind you of another 'Rick'--the guy from the movie 'Casablanca'; charismatic, a little mysterious, and a world-class innkeeper. He have us plenty of space when we needed it; sat and...

The location is very peaceful, overlooks the hills to the pacific ocean. It is beautiful to just sit back and enjoy this view. Walking to town from the estate takes about 25 minutes; if you have a vehicle, it is only a 5 minute drive. The room we stayed in was very spacious, light and open. The breakfast is fantastic!...

Rancho Armadillo is a "hotel" on a hill side in Playas del Coco Costa Rica. It only has 6 rooms, spread across 3 buildings, and the proprietor, Rick, makes you feel as though you're family from the very beginning. The property overlooks rolling hills and the Pacific ocean. You're minutes away from downtown, which is a beach town full of...

This was our second time at the estate at it was as enjoyable as it was three years ago. Rick Vogel is an excellent host, the facilities are marvelous and the region has lots to see and do. Rick will get you organized for what ever adventure you have in mind. Our favourite was the chartered snorkeling tour with Sea...

The location is beautiful, amenities are excellent but it Rick's superb hosting that puts it over the top. It is an intimate setting to relax, enjoy the surroundings or launch point from which paradise. Thanks, Rick. Genevieve

Rick has the most beautiful estate in a very cool part of the world. My hubby and I had a lovely and relaxing time at this great getaway in Playa del Coco. Rick is the perfect host - full of great stories and a real love for what he does. Plus, he knows everything about the area and the locals....

We have just returned from a week at Rancho Armadillo. We booked after reading all the great reviews on tripadvisor and they were all true. We had a fantastic time and Rick truly is the best host. Great food and service. Best view in Playa Del Coco and it was also away from the hussle and bustle of town but...
