We stayed at the Hotel Suerta del Sol for 5 nights. It is a great choice. The grounds and pool are really nice and well maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is about a 5 minute walk down a well maintained path to the center of town, and far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. It...

My partner and I stayed here while completing the dive package through Deep Blue Diving and in all honesty, I was a bit wary about coming here - the hotel had mixed reviews and the booking process was different than I was used to. But everything went incredibly smoothly, the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel is...

This hotel is a gem. Set around a lovely garden and pool, it is hard to believe you are only a short distance from the town centre. The room we stayed in was spacious with a large bed, sofa, TV, fridge, coffee machine. The shower room was also large, room for at least 2 at a time. Efficient air-conditioning. The...

If you're looking for a good "away from the All Inclusive" location I would suggest La Puerto Del Sol. I haven't travelled in 10 years and never travelled alone. The location, staff and price was exactly what I needed for this last minute adventure. The bed's are a bit hard but everything else was good. Thanks to Alessandro and the...

We came here for the 7 night/ 5 day bed & diving package. We enjoyed every minute at the hotel. It is a short walk to Deep Blue dive shop. Another short walk to the beach or to town to the restaurants, bars and shops. A clean, well maintained, quite place with AC and hot showers. There was a security...

The staff here were very helpful and kind, but the water was off most of our two day stay (something outside their control) and the internet went down quite a bit as well. The place was clean and breakfast was good. It is close to town and the beach but make sure you know where to go at first as...

This might be the best hotel in town, but it was nothing special. About 300 meters from the main strip so it was quiet at night which helped. The room was clean and pretty sparse. Probably would look for something a bit nicer next time. Breakfast was included but not very good - and they didn't have a restaurant serving...

This hotel had the dual distinction of being the worst AND the most expensive of the five different hotels we stayed at in CR. Keep in mind that we went during the low season which means we do not know what it's like when it's busy. We paid $102 for the room which was astronomical when compared to the quality...

Don't go expecting the Waldorf. However, for the category of hotel that it falls into, it's a winner. The rooms are small but clean. It is only a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and the same into town. In addition, the staff was pleasant. They also have security on property after sunset.

My father and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Playas del Coco. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a security guard who checked us in. We arrived a little later in the evening, so the regular staff was not there. He didn't speak any English, but he showed us our room and was very pleasant and put up...
