Lost Iguana is a very nice resort--maybe not a five-star like El Tabacon down the street--but still super nice. The rooms were comfortable and the atmosphere is awesome. The fact that there's an extra 80 acres of wilderness make it a really great place to stay, and the views can't be beat. What we probably loved most, however, was the...

We rented Casitas 051. Two bedrooms and a living room. The best part was the balcony. The view was amazing. It was unobstructed jungle all the way to the Arenal Volcano. The room was well equipped and clean. The wifi was spotty, but you are in the jungle after all. The resort is very unique. Upscale but unpretentious and fits...

I loved this place. It is away from town and a $30.00 cab ride into La Fortuna (small town and could go through it in less than 20 minutes). However, the hotel has an employee shuttle that has scheduled times to reserve if you need to hit town. The hotel is beautiful! We stayed in the spacious room with the...

,We spent three nights here and loved it! The jungle is amazing. It is so lush and there are so many different sounds. The view from the room was incredible with all of the trees, plants, beautiful birds and of course, the volcano! My husband and I really enjoyed hiking the trails that are on the property. We also walked...

My husband and I stayed here with our seven-year-old and it was a great home base for exploring the area. The grounds were beautiful, our room was very nicely appointed and I found the food to be quite good. Unfortunately, we never actually saw the volcano, but I know that our room would have had a fabulous view if the...

We really enjoyed 3 full days and 4 nights at Lost Iguana! Great place, beautiful grounds, friendly staff! We would highly recommend it! Our only downer was the pool was undergoing repair while we were there and so it was off limits - the small swim up pool was available though. We would definately stay again!

Stayed here from 7/28 thru 8/30/12 with wife and 2 sons. Nice grounds, hot tubs nice and warm, cold pool, cold. Maze on property was fun but could use some help. Trails on property also fun but don't go near dusk it gets dark fast.Views of Arenal Volcano are great on a clear day. However, we went there to stay...

My daughter and I spent three days in the Arenal area for our first time in Costa Rica and had a lovely stay and the Lost Iguana. It is truly a relaxing retreat right in the middle of the rainforest. The staff could not have been nicer. They were patient as we practiced our Spanish and arranged all of our...

We drove from San Jose to Lost Iguana. It was a fun adventure as the roads are very curved, but we came to costa rica to see the natural beauty and for adventure, and that fit the bill for both. The hotel is outside of town, a rental car is needed if you wanted to leave often. We had a...

This is where you want to stay in La Fortuna if you want to really feel like you are visiting Costa Rica! Small Boutique Feeling - where you become a familiar face to the friendly staff and they become friends!
