The Springs is an amazing place to spend some time. The ground, rooms and common spaces are not common if you know what I mean? We spend some time there for vacation and the friendly people are great. The whole country is made up of super friendly people and we enjoy our time the

This place is paradise. Everything was beautiful. The fresh flower arrangements were over the top. It was not at all crowded as I had read it would be. Enjoyed solitude in the hot pools. We loved our kayaking experience.

Beautiful day relaxing!
Does the resort have water slides? If so how many?
Yes it has slides. Please defer to the hotel for an exact number. However it’s not many.

As a guest of The Springs do we pay for Club Rio and how much is it if we do?
If you're staying at the Springs, you can go TO Club Rio for free (to eat at the restaurant, enjoy the hot springs, lounge by the river). Aside from that, you pay a la carte for the different activities offered.

I am wondering what the weather is like here in mid to late August? I have read that it is the rainy season and wondering whether it is worth coming. Appreciate any advice, thanks!
We were there for eight days in late August this year. We were also a little worried about the rainy season, but it really did not diminish our experience. Yes it rained almost every day, but not all day. If you were to hit a stretch of multiple all day rain, that would be a drag. In our case we were able to work around it, and many times it added to the steamy jungle experience (the rain is warm so you can ignore if you want). For example, on our first night in Costa Rica, we were greeted with an intense thunder storm and very loud rain. We sat on the deck and watched the show. When the rain stopped the jungle exploded with the sound of insects. It was sort of magical. Other nights we went out in the rain with flashlights to look for the abundant colorful tree frogs, or sat in the hot springs in the rain. On the downside, our family's rafting trip got diverted because of flash flood warnings at our original destination. After the recent tragedy, it was obviously a prudent move. Having said all this, we also plenty of brilliant sunshine and perfect evenings mixed in. My Advice: We spent half our time at the beach on the Pacific side at Manuel Antonio, and half in the Arenal area. If you are going in August and want less rain, here's my advice. Spend more time at the beach and less inland at the volcano. In our small sample size of eight days, the beach was much drier and more predictable. Every morning in Manuel Antonio was hot and brilliant blue sky. Around noon it would start to cloud up, and we only got one day of afternoon rain. In Arenal at The Springs resort, it was almost always cloudy, a little cooler, and the rain was off and on at any time of day. It was a great trip and my adult kids considered one of the best trips they've had.

Does the club rio multi adventure package include 2 days at the hot springs?
Sorry I don't know about that, you might have to call the resort. If you're staying at the hotel you have unlimited access to all the hot springs while you are there.
