This was our last stop in Costa Rica before going home, and we loved it. The hotel was almost empty giving it a more romantic feel. The food was good, we had a great view of the Volcano from our room. Our hostesses were nice. Couldn't go up to the Volcano because it was active at the time, making it...

I loved my stay at the Guayabo lodge. The owners are some of the kindest people I've met while traveling in Costa Rica and they've hired an equally kind staff. The owners of this hotel are very involved in the community here in Santa Cruz and the nearby city of Turrialba. As such they have proven very helpful in finding...

The lodge is very clean and rooms have great views to Turialba volcano. It was active when we were there. We arrived late night and they were very accommodating. The owners and staff are very friendly. My husband was doing paragliding course near by and I was about board and owner arranged a private cooking class for me. Thank you...

I flew to San Jose for a "bucket list" experience to see an active volcano - Turriabla. I checked TripAdvisor for a nearby hotel as I picked up my rental car. Thanks to the reviews by former guests, I chose Hotel Guayabo Lodge on faith. I called the hotel around 5:00 PM. and they assured me they would be waiting...

We were really impressed with this lovely set of rooms hidden high on the hills above Turrialba. Would be a great place to spend an extended time. The room had a large bathroom and shower and a little kitchenette. The views of the valley were amazing. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. White water rafting was spectacular!

The Guayabo Lodge is located high in the mountains near the Turrialba Volcano and the town of Turrialba in Costa Rica. We went there to escape the heat of the beaches and to tour the nearby Guayabo National Monument which contains pre-Columbian ruins. Our tour guide Ceasar (who also works at the hotel) was amazing and informative. He took the...

We called the Guayabo Lodge late one day after a disappointing visit to La Fortuna, and asked if they wouldn't mind having us for a few days. The man at the front desk was delightful, and stayed late to check us in at around 10 p.m. We had a hair-raising drive in the dark and fog, but felt instantly at...
