We stayed here for one night. It's located a short drive from the airport, near Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The hotel itself has all the basics you'll need for your stay. The views are incredible and the place has a very cozy feel at only 4 rooms. The owners are very passionate about this place and it...

Stephan and Jimmie are happy to welcome you into their home. Young friendly guys from Texas own it, there are only I think 4 rooms available. You walk into the living room/dining area. There are couches set up around a fireplace (it does get very cool up there). The dining area is 180 large glass windows - the view is...

Very well located if you are visiting Volcan Poas and want to enjoy the best view on the central valley of Costa Rica! It's a small place so Jimmy, the owner really take care of our wellbeing and the food - more TexMex than typical Tico - is really good! Last point, it's really quiet and cosy with a fireplace...

Stayed there for one night only on our way to Poas Volcano and it's ideally located to beat the crowds in the morning. Double room was basic but cozy and the hosts were friendly. The only issue was the unpleasant smell from the shower drains all the time. We woke up to an amazing sunrise and had the huge pancakes...

Thank you for staying with us and your review. We are glad you found our home ok. We apologize for the odor you refer to. It would be nice to know what room you stayed in. In the future and always in our home, it may be beneficial to alert us and maybe we can fix the problem. This would...

Honestly, we almost drove past this place trying to find it -- it has a small footprint off the road and looks like it would be a bar/restaurant. But once you step inside, it's like walking into a cosy, rustic lodge that has a warm inviting personality. Two brothers from Texas own & operate the lodge, which was intriguing in...

My wife especially wanted to see the volcano and learned the best way to do so was early in the morning; the best way to arrange that was to stay nearby. So we did. I'll let you get the story of how the two brothers who own it came to own it from the brothers themselves, former Texans, super friendly...

We stayed here for 1 night before heading back to the airport the next day. It's the perfect location for the Poas Volcano and only an hours drive to/from the airport. We were greeted by the most warm and welcoming hosts. They advised us to go straight to the volcano whilst the view was clear. Meanwhile our bags were taken...

If you are visiting the Poas Volcano, stay here. The guys are amazing, the accommodations are comfortable, and the price is right. Breakfast was delicious, and Jimmy gave excellent guidance on what to do with a dreary day. If you are expecting the Ritz, don't bother these guys - they have a great understanding of conservation, preserving character and pura...

Stephan and Jimmy's friendly service was Great..they had answers and advice for our many, many questions. The Lodge oozes with modest, rustic charm. Our room had a spectacular view! The king bed was comfortable with a thick, cozy down comforter that made for a great nights sleep in that cool environment with whipping winds and lashing rain (December, dress warm)....
