We were on our delayed honeymoon and spent the active portion of our trip to Costa Rica in La Fortuna and Magic Mountain Hotel. From here we did all sorts of things around the volcano and in the area from zip lining and rappelling to horseback riding and soaking in the natural hot springs. We loved the hotel and its...

Hotel Magic Mountain was just okay - there was nothing special and nothing horrible. From our balcony we had Arenal Volcano, but a spindly tree was directly in our view. If it wouldn't have grown there or had been cut down we would have had an unobstructed view of the volcano and that would have been much better. The bed...

We started our trip at Hotel Magic Mountain, and we kept saying we wished we had stayed another day. The views are amazing and the landscaping perfect. The employees were very friendly, helpful and provided several great recommendations for excursions and restaurants. We had breakfast included in our package, and it was wonderful. Complete with an omelet bar, warm food,...

We stayed here for three nights after a camping trip in the rain forest. OK, the sight of a dry room with a big, comfortable bed and a bathroom with a shower where you didn't have to check for any number of creepy crawlies may have helped with a rose-tinted view of this hotel, but hey. It worked for us....

This hotel was fabulous. The room was simple, but clean and well-appointed. Fabulous view of Arenal and the pool from our balcony. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of Costa Rican food. Most importantly, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were quick to provide restaurant recommendations or call a cab when we needed it and they were...

We spend two nights at Magic Mountain and really enjoyed it. We arrive at about midnight and the office was closed but there was someone waiting for us outside with our key and helped us get luggage to the room. We woke to a beautiful view of the volcano. The free brunch was very good with a nice variety. The...

We stayed here as part of a Caravan Land Tour. It is farther than I would have liked to have walked to get into town, They did have cab service, if that interested. The air-conditioner is run with your room key card and there is also an associated remote for it. The guest rooms had a TV, no clock, a...

My friend and I came from San Francisco and Maryland to visit the volcano. We had the best time at your wonderful, clean and welcoming facility. The food was excellent and the hospitality was superb! My birthday present was a hot stone massage that was the best I ever received! Keep working on your new spa and let us know...

We spent 2 nights at the Magic Mountain and what a great hotel experience. The hotel could not have better views of the volcano and our room (506) was just great. The whole staff seemed very keen to make our stay a memorable one. Everything was clean and tidy and within a short stroll there are a few bars and...

This hotel is near enough downtown that you can easily get to restaurants and other sights. Rooms are comfortable and service was good. Breakfast was really nice. We were able to pick up and drop off a rental car here, and that made our trip easier. Enjoyable stay!
