I agree fully with all the positive comments made about this place. In the UK you'd pay just to visit the beautiful gardens which are so well stocked and cared for, and full of interesting birds and butterflies. It's not too big, so we felt very comfortable but at the same time the service was spot on. Different to other... More

We were greeted with cold cloths to refresh ourselves and the front desk knew our names. After being shown to our cabin (which makes it sound more rustic than it is) we were brought fruit smoothies as a welcome. Our cabin was spacious, even with an extra bed for our daughter brought in. It was spotlessly clean and surrounded by... More

We stayed here with another couple and all of us fell in love with the natural beauty of this place. We arrived late afternoon and it was the only time we actually got a clear view of Arenal volcano which is directly across the street from the resort. Our cottage/bungalow was very spacious but the bathroom was a little small.... More

What a nice hotel! The thermal baths, the gardens and flowers around the grounds and the rooms were all incredible. The perfect place for a romantic stay! We got one of the romantic chalets there. The free breakfast was also delicious and plenty of food.

I spent a lot of time looking at all of the different reviews and options for Arenal/La Fortuna, and this was absolutely the right choice. You could stay in one of the bigger, fancier hotels, but Hotel El Silencio Del Campo gives you a real feel for the area with charming bungalows and beautiful, uncrowded hot springs right on site... The gardens are beautiful. The free breakfast was convenient. Everyone was very nice. It felt very private because of the individual villas. The room was very spacious. I felt the room was lacking in any drawer spaces. We are a family of 4 and there was only 1 chair. There was also tiny little ants behind the bathroom vanity. For... More

Our cabins were great. The hot spring spa and free facial were fabulous. Breakfast was not much to rave about but we loved our stay nevertheless. Recommend that you hire a car because the hotel is hard to reach from Fortuna. Enjoyed the clay body wrap and the hot Springs/jacuzzi/plunge pools are great.

I stayed here a week ago with my daughter and we had a wonderful stay. Eliomar and Bryan at the front desk were excellent hosts and helped us book tours each day. The hot springs were a delight to soak in. The rooms were clean and very insulated - not a bug indoors. The food at the restaurant was OK.... More

This was our second time to stay here. The grounds are beautiful with a great view of the volcano when it's not covered by the clouds. Rooms are clean and very spacious and the hot springs are the best. The staff is friendly and breakfast is great. The best part is the Beautiful birds that eat the fruit they put... More

Wonderful Place. Individual cabins give you a very good time to rest and disconnect from the "metro world". Cabins are well maintained with AC and small table outdoor. The landscaping is wonderful. Restaurant is overpriced but the food is not bad and the service is good. The front desk attention could be in English or Spanish. Eliomar was the person... More
