The hotel rooms are well spaced out in a condo style. The design of the layout felt like a UK centre parcs! The hotel is really clean and the staff were lovely. We ate in the Italian restaurant which was good. We stayed for 3 nights which was long enough to see the sights of Arenal. The hotel was very Americanised so not our cup of tea so 3 nights was enough for us but that’s a personal choice.
We loved the privacy of the rooms. Only attached to one other guest room. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms were very spacious. We liked that there was a place to hang your wet clothes to dry overnight. Sitting in the hot spring with a swim up bar was a huge plus. We liked that you had a choice of 2 restaurants to choose from and if you wanted lighter food, you cod eat at the bar which served sushi, burgers, and more. The layout of the resort allowed me to power walk without having to climb large incline. We liked that the resort had a standalone coffee shop and souvenir shop. We could see the Arenal volcano from our hotel which was breathtaking. All in all, it was an excellent experience with wonderful staff who was very accommodating. Thank you for a great experience. Beautiful resort! My first advice is if you are coming to the area from the airport, take some motion sickness medicine before! It is quite a drive! Outside of the drive the resort is stunning. The room was pretty basic ( junior suite), but we didn’t spend much time in it so that was fine. The grounds are stunning and you have a great view of the volcano. You have many different hot springs pools to choose from, and big swim up bars. Even if it rains all day you can have a great time. What made our experience so great was the excellent service from start to finish. Allen and his young bar back with the big smile ( sorry I didn’t get your name!) really made our stay so special. Allen provided us with service as good as any 4 star hotel we have stayed at, and we were extremely impressed , thank you Allen! The food was fine, I would probably upgrade the room next time. My only complaint would be the pillows ( and mattress) in our room were pretty uncomfortable, perhaps the hotel can replace them. All in all it was a great stay and I highly recommend!…
This resort was absolutely amazing! We had our own little villa within the resort with our own parking spot. The facility came with two great restaurants (Italian and Local Cuisine), a spa, on-site laundry, and gift shop. The main attraction for me were the myriad of thermal springs that were located throughout the resort. They were at varying temperatures depending on your heat preference! We hiked Arenal Volcano 1968 and thoroughly enjoyed resting in the springs post-hike.
Our stay at Arenal Springs Resort has been outstanding. My wife got this trip to Costa Rica for my 70th birthday. She worked with Costa Rican Vacations to help plan our trip and they recommended this hotel as one of three during our trip/stay here in Costa Rica. This resort has it all. Our room is outstanding with a jetted rock tub and great shower. Hammock on our front porch has perfect view of the Arenal volcano. The staff are amazing - all 10 out of 10. The hot springs pools are perfect with swim up sushi and drink bars - very cool. The grounds are simply beautiful with nice shaded areas to chill in hammocks to read or snooze. But the best this place has to offer - their spa. OMG - I’m not really into massages (or at least I wasn’t) but I had a massage and facial from Mirey, and it was magical! she was amazing with magical hands. 5 star place and highly recommend.…
We had a lovely stay as part of our honeymoon in January 2023. The rooms were spacious and clean and the pool areas were lovely. It would be good to have one of the pool areas for adults only. The food in the Italian restaurant was lovely, but the costa rican restaurant disappointing with only one veggie option. The location is great to explore the area but a shuttle bus into La Fortuna would be good so it's easier to get into town. One wors of warning it is very Americanised, so as a UK traveller it felt at times we got worse service than the visitors from the USA, but service on the whole was still really good.
Beautiful grounds and views, very well maintained. Quiet, helpful staff, high class spa, excellent restaurants, no wait for services when we were there; good breakfast with lots of variety. Easy to book activities with pickup/drop off at the entrance.
This is an amazing resort, with super friendly and helpful staff. A great example is I arrived with terrible heatrash and reception sent me fresh aloe Vera to help calm the rash down. So thoughtful and kind. It was also my birthday and the hotel gave me a card and bottle of wine. Splendid service! We had the most beautiful lodge which was clean, cool and lovely. The pools and hot spa were great. The food and drinks were fantastic. I didn’t try the free yoga as I slept in but perhaps when we go back! Absolutely no complaints from us. This was a great place and we’d love to go back.
We arrived on New Years Eve afternoon. On New Years Eve the hotel hosted a delicious buffet dinner for all of their guests. The food at all three of their restaurants was excellent. Our room had an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano and all the employees were very nice and helpful. I liked that the location was perfect for sight seeing and at the end of the day relaxing in the hot spring with the swim up bar. I just wish we would have stayed longer.
Beautiful resort with great amenities and great staff. Everything was amazing but what I remember most is the people and staff who made sure your stay was wonderful and worthwhile, especially by the pool bar where they served sushi and food. One of the best accommodations I have stayed in and would love to come back!
