The cabins at the rear of the property are both rustic and comfortable. They have adequate amenities, towels, storage space, and nice porches facing the volcano. They are far enough back from the main road that there is not any noise. The gardens in front of each unit are pleasant. The walk to the restaurant, store and open air lobby is only a few hundred feet - enough to allow you to feel you are away from the very active souvenir store (it should be called a souvenir super-store, as it is massive). The free breakfast was good - you have a choice of a local style or American style breakfast. We had early tour departures on two of the three mornings - the restaurant staff was wonderful to provide some early morning to-go meals (it helps to let them know ahead of time and they will provide plenty of fruit and toast in boxes). The lobby/front counter staff were pleasant and helpful. The work under a large overhang viewing the souvenir store and the main road. They are willing to break large USD bills into smaller bills if they have the currency on hand. Change making and answering questions were always done with a smile. The bar staff in the restaurant (who sometimes double as waiters) were friendly and wanting to please. Each had a warm greeting and smile for every patron and easily made one's day complete. While to hotel is not in La Fortuna proper, it is a short ride into town and back. It is a bit less chaotic at its location in the community. This hotel is worth considering for those that do not want to be in an urban setting or in one of the hostels in town.

Not a hotel but rather a motel. Rooms were rustic and basic. We stayed for three days as we were booked in as a package with Exoticca We arrived late in the day and ate in the restaurant the meal was awful and far too expensive for the standard of food served. The breakfast was poor to say the least the service was basic and the staff expected to be tipped. The package was described as being a charm hotel. Our experience was far from charming. If you are booked in I’d recommend that you upgrade to a different hotel.

Although the walls are thin and the rooms a little dated, per previous reviews - the staff made up for it. Everyone from the front desk, to the restaurant were super nice and helpful. The front desk made booking excursions a breeze. The included breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The pool area was very nice with 3 different pools with differing temps. The souvenir shop was fantastic and had the best prices in town plus you received an additional discount as a hotel guest. Far enough from town to be a bit quieter, but close enough to walk comfortably. The road can be a bit noisy during the day with a lot of big trucks going by, but in the evenings they stopped.

Traveling with my family, I found Hotel La Pradera del Arenal to be a perfect destination. The spacious family suites provided ample room for everyone, and the children particularly enjoyed the pool area. The hotel's proximity to various family-friendly activities and attractions made it a convenient choice. The staff's warm welcome and willingness to assist with family-specific needs made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. If you're planning a family vacation in the Arenal region, this hotel should be at the top of your list.

Good atmosphere, breakfast included. Shower great with hot water. Great staff support. This hotel privides activities options and also helps to make reservations. The big souvenir store was a bonus. Only thing was the lock on the door needs repair.

The rooms have an amazing view of the Arenal volcano. We arrived in torrential rain and the staff was very helpful. The front office helped us a lot during our stay with plans and information. Good job.

Conveniently located this hotel is a good option if what you need is a comfortable and quiet place to rest after exploring La Fortuna. It does have a good size pool with a kid's recreation area and a restaurant. Breakfast was ok... The cabin we booked had all the amenities we needed and it was clean and cozy. There's also a souvenir store on the premises. It's the biggest and nicest souvenir store I've seen in La Fortuna.

Located in an ultra-tourist area and a short walk to a dozen or so tourist restaurants, this lodging has its place for certain visitors. The WIFI was mostly inoperative during my visit. It could only be used by the window in my room and then only at super off hours like 3am when nobody else was trying to use it. The walls are un-insulated slats of wood next to each other leaving gaps. The roof is metal, so rain is very loud and insects and light come through cracks in the walls. The bathroom had four full sized towels no hand towels no face towels. No bath soap. Yes shampoo and conditioner and hand soap. Beds were OK but it was very difficult to manage the temperature in the room and the bedding was thin. The air conditioner worked but obviously blew a lot of energy through the wall cracks. The safe was broken. I will not be returning but I can see maybe a rustic camper liking the place.

If you are planning on staying in La Fortuna and want a quiet place to stay with great views of the volcano, unless it's raining of course, this is the place to stay. I've stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed. This time it rained off and on for all four days that we have been here, never did see the volcano Arenal.
