The hotel was clean and (very) reasonably priced. If you don't want to stay at a resort, this is probably the best place for you. The hotel is close to everything - right across the street from a decent bar/ restaurant and right down the block from a grocery/ sundry store. It is also great if you have a car;...

I guess it is one of the only hotels right in la Fortuna with a real Volcano view. We had a really big room with a small balcony from which we could perfectly watch the volcano (most of the time it's in clouds though). Try to get one of the top floor rooms if available, there are 2 rooms with...

This may seem strange that I am writing a review because I didn't actually stay at this hotel. However I wanted to write a review because of the warm hospitality we received from the front desk staff. My husband and I actually stayed down the road at Sueno Dorado (horrible--see my review) and we decided to research other places in...

We really enjoyed our stay at Jireh. The rooms were extremely clean and well designed for comfort. The showers had plenty of hot water. There was free Internet and computers for guest use in the lobby. It was right in the middle of town and within walking distance of almost everything. We stayed on the 3rd floor with a balcony...

I have to admit that I wanted to stay in a hotel downtown while in La Fortuna/Arenal area, so I decided to book Hotel Arenal Jireh. The hotel is very well run and it is indeed downtown. You are close to everything you can imagine, but there is a price that you have to pay for that: it is noisy....

This hotel was a great value for the money. Clean, great service, all the amenities (a.c., cable t.v., fridge, safe, etc.), pretty little room, nice pool, excellent location right in the town. The only problem we had was that the street is a bit noisy, and the noise starts early in the a.m., which makes it a bit hard to...

I would definitely suggest a top floor room, as far away from the street as possible. The hotel faces the main street, so there was a lot of traffic noise, as well as construction noise from the building going up next door. The room was pleasant and clean enough, with an in-room safe, a fridge, and a balcony, and the...

Booked this at the last minute through one of the tour operaters in La Fortuna. Large Yellow building on main street of the town, however once inside we were more than pleasantly surprised at the size of the room/ bathroom. Beatifully laid out towels with fresh flowers. It was spotlessly clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpfull and we...

My family had reservations for two rooms/two nights at Hotel Arenal Jireh during Christmas vacation. We were traveling from Jaco to La Fortuna. We stopped at a busy restaurant. While we were gone our locked SUV's window was broken and EVERYTHING was stolen....luggage, tote bags, purse, etc. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the day at the police...

This is a nice hotel off of the main drag in la fortuna. It is still very quiet, but close enough to walk to almost anything in the little town. The rooms are nice. And I had no problem making a reservation for the best room in the hotel 3rd floor-with a direct view of the volcano-no obstructions. The lower...

“Just take whatever room they give you, if your there to lay up & sleep around in Costa Rica you are a sad individual. Don't complain about the hard towels, bring your own & be a good tourist. Respect the people and they will respect you. If your too uppity & need a flat screen TV, go blow $400 a night at the Tabacon or another swanky hotel.”
