My brother and I stayed here during our time in La Fortuna / Arenal. The staff was extremely helpful, especially the one hotel desk clerk. He was able to point us to where to eat, what tours we could do with out time there, information about the volcano, etc. He even let us in to a higher room to get...

This is our third stay, and we really have no reason to look elsewhere. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the volcano view is lovely, and the staff, mostly bilingual, are kind and look after us well. When we've had small issues (electronic key not working, for example) the issue was sorted out quickly and with a smile. The hotel...

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The first time was in May 2010. The staff are super friendly and knowlegable when it comes to knowing where to eat and what the activities are like. I would recomend zip-lines, the Cerro Chato hike(watch out, it's TOUGH!) and the Baldi Hot Springs at night! Unfortunately the restaurant was closed...

This review is mainly for young travellers but no matter what age, if you are single and ready to mingle so to speak, I would NOT STAY HERE. My experience comes out of a stay on the nights of April 18th and 19th as part of a G adventures tour group. I had met a girl while on an activity...

Dear visitor, One of the compromises that our hotel has with its clients is keeping their total security. That is why, long time ago, we established a policy for forbidding the entrance of people that is not registered in our hotel. The job of our security guard is checking who is entering in our place to be sure that person...

Located on the edge of the very small downtown area this hotel provided a quiet and comfy room. It had a tv and air conditioning and a safe. Out room did not have a fridge. Bkfst was included and u can choose the type: continental, american, granola. Ours came with fruit, toast, eggs, jam, juice and coffee. The fresh fruit...

The staff is great. We had a view of the Volcano which was cool. The Breakfast which is included is great. We parked are car outside and had no problems. The room we had was ok. Issues was the mattress isn't the greatest. In the bathroom water from the shower can easily get everywhere because the shower curtain doesn't keep...

Our experience in La Fortuna was wonderful, staying at hotel la fortuna was a big part of it. Views of the volcanoe from the balcony room we stayed in were impressive and the room was very comfortable and well equipped, good location close to the heart of town which allowed us to get everywhere we needed, excellent staff and a...

I was traveling solo to Costa Rica and chose Hotel La Fortuna for its central location--I wanted to be in an area where I could walk to restaurants, shops, etc. but also get to Arenal easily. The hotel location is perfect, and there are a variety of good places to eat within easy walking distance. I felt incredibly safe walking...

I think this is the tallest building in town. Our room was on the fourth floor and had a great view of the volcano. Of course, you couldn't always see the volcano because of cloud cover, but that tends to come and go during the day. The hotel itself was fine. Nothing special, but clean and centrally located (a two...

Stayed in this hotel-if you want a volcanoes view room with balcony then expect the noise from the main road. I had a room at the rear so it was quiet but there also wasn't a window you could open so you relied on the AC. The view from the breakfast sitting area of the volcano is good and it...

Hello Sue! We are sorry about the noise from the street but maybe that is the price we have to pay for having one of the best locations, right in the heart of La Fortuna downtown. We also want to comment you that we have different types of rooms: with windows, without them and with balconies too, as you mentioned....
