We stayed here for three days from December 24th to December 27th. The employees were very helpful and kind, the property is beautiful but it was not near anything. If you do not have a car you are a bit limited for meal options. The restaurant was okay but we had a buffet on Christmas eve that was not great...

This resort has many small cabins spread throughout their landscaped property. The cabins are pretty simple; they do not seal well from the great outdoors so bugs and even geckos get in your room (and those geckos can chirp so loudly they can wake you up at night!). The cabins do however have nice porches with views of the volcano....

First, the hot springs, the volcano view (clouded volcano, that is), and the rooms get five stars. The springs are private and well landscaped with waterfalls creating a noise barrier between each one. Although the hotel was at ninety percent capacity, we always had a private pool. The rooms are huge, but the kitchen very poorly stocked and cooking not...

My husband and I stayed here for one night and had a great time! Unfortunately we did not see the volcano due to fog (has anyone actually seen this volcano?!), but we still had a great time at Arenal Paraiso. The hot springs were wonderful, and it was so nice to just walk to them from the room. We also...

The hotel is nice with a lot of outdoor areas to sit down, relax and enjoy. The Volcano views from the cabin's porches are great, you can sit down there, relax and read a book while enjoying the views of the green areas, and the clouds on top of the volcano (we never saw the top, it was always clouded)....

My favorite part of the whole hotel is the hot springs. The hot springs went from hot tube hot to cool. There were about 15 different hot springs and I would say 3 waterfalls.

This hotel was probably the gold standard back in the 90's. Now it's a bit tired but has all of the spa and mineral baths that you'd find in 4-5 star hotels. My wife & daughter really enjoyed their massages, a gretat value and very professional. The thermal baths are old but nice, ther are about 10 in all. The...

We have gone to costa rica each january for ten years now, and most years make a trip away from the beach and into the beautiful and cool rain forest. We slowly drive from playa flamingo around Lake Arenal, usually getting there late afternoon (dark is about 6 pm). Its too late (and too costly) to go to Tabacon springs...

We had booked an independent itinerary trip through G Adventures and were put at this hotel... while it was a decent complex, it's not where we would have stayed if the choice had been ours alone. On the plus side, there are hot springs pools on site and the breakfast buffet was decent. But it's several km out of town...

Located just outside La fortuna, Hotel Paraiso is truly a paradise at the foot of Arenal Volcano. The hotel has bungalows in three categories. We stayed in the lowest but that is relative. The room was large with a fine en-suite shower room , sliding glass doors on to the terrace which had two very comfortable leather and wood rockers...
