We stayed at Los Lagos in August 2014. The grounds were stunning. They were also enormous. Fortunately, our room was within walking distance to the office, restaurant and pools, but I understand that some of the rooms are quite far away and uphill, requiring the shuttle service. For the most part the front desk staff were uninterested in helping and...

The kids absolutely loved this place. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The lobby staff do lack any social skills and the service at the swim up bar was terrible the while time we were there! Be prepared to walk your butt off! I will say they offer a shuttle service and those guys were amazing and always super nice. The...

Came here with family and our 2 kids ages 6 and 8. Room is a motel-like room, truly average, if that. Restaurant was very average and bland, the service was weak took no real interest in us being there. The best part about the place is the hot springs and water slides for the kids (and us). Probably better to...

Once you check in, you honestly wouldn't have to leave for the duration of your stay if you didn't want to. The food is delicious, the rooms comfortable, and there are some fun activities and amenities on site. There are hot springs, small zip lines, wildlife exhibits, horseback riding, hiking to an overlook of the volcano, swim up bars; you...

We came here for a few hours just to visit the hot springs and relax without knowing what to expect. We had to pay $15 to use the facilities. The place was a lot more commercialized than we expected but we were happy to find the hot springs quite warm and the swim up bar was a nice bonus. The...

Wow! This is something I only dreamed about, this huge resort property is surrounded by beautiful, lush indigenous plants with the epic backdrop of the volcano. The resort itself is well-kept and easily accessible. The resort is literally in the best location you can be in to see the volcano with all the rooms (at least from what I could...

We all loved this hotel, especially the added decadence of hot springs in the hotel grounds. Nothing can match a day of white water rafting, then to be soothed by the hot (like a bath hot!) water of the springs whilst sipping a large Mojito or Pina Colada at the wet bar! Just bliss! The kids really enjoyed the various...

We tried booking our room online but opted to call directly as i'd heard they might have better rates over the phone and, they sure did! We paid about $110 for one night that included 3 meals for 2 people! Amazing value in this pricey area of CR. The hotel is beautiful, very very well maintained. The hot springs are...

We stayed here for three days as a base for white water rafting. It's a good location for that -- nicer than staying in La Fortuna, which is a bit of a tourist dive. The pools are great. My kids (early teens) played a full day in the pools one day that was semi cloudy and the pools are really...

For $153 I expected a lot better. Staff was always put off by any questions such as what's the wifi password? Wifi didn't work anyway and no explanation was given when asked why. Free breakfast is from 630-930 they say but arrived at 9:05 and already clearing everything and had to beg for a glass to put my orange juice...
