Wow ! Amazing views of the volcano from our room ! Our lodge was clean and it was great to wander round the beautiful gardens! There are lots of thermal pools of varying temperatures which are great after a long walk! Food in the restaurant better from the al carte than $20 buffet.

We arrived at Los Lagos around supper time. We were tired and pretty much just stuck to our room. Which was well equipped and comfortable. They did leave a welcome tray on the table. A very nice gesture but as we arrived later in the day it had only attracted the ants, making it not so appealing. We had buffet...

Stayed for three nights at this property. Superior rooms at front of the property were spacious and clean. However no coffee in rooms despite a coffee maker being supplied. Also nothing in the room fridge.Enjoyed the pool and Hot springs which are free if you are staying at the Hotel. It does tend to get busy because people can buy a...

Overall this was a great stay for us. Had trouble choosing a place to stay in arenal and mostly chose this place cuz of the water slides for kids. This was our second stop in Costa Rica and our first stop was Monteverde where we did a lot of walking and hiking- had figured kids could use some fun in...

Te food is awesome, as are the facilities, The location is simply beautiful, and has a pool for every taste. They could improve the manteinance to a few of the smaller, more intimate themral pools, but on the others the water flows great and are fully enjoyable.

We stayed here for 3 days over New Years. You have to be shuttled around because it's so spread out and our room was far up a hill. Too many people for the 11 pools in my opinion. Not enough pool chairs. Good food but not a lot of variety. Breakfast amazing, but restaurant way overpriced for dinner. Loved the...

Expansive and lush grounds that offer several pools, several pool slides, hot spring pools, hot spring Jacuzzis, two-seat hot spa lounges, swim up bar, restaurants, various activities, butterfly garden, frog house, crocodile exhibit, monkeys in the trees, lavish grounds all in a gated resort. The rooms are clean, well equipped and offer all the usual and expected amenities. The rooms...

You can really appreciate the hot springs pool when a cool rain comes in. Generally the resort has a clever design to take advantage of the local environment. The new room we had , close to the pools & restaurant , was a good choice. The walls are thin, but if the neighbors are quiet.. not so bad. The restaurant,...

The grounds are beautiful and the hot spring pools are awesome. The rooms are OK, very clean, but kind of sterile. There is one restaurant, so if you stay there more than a couple of days you will get tired of the food. It's 6 kms into La Fortuna to find other restaurants or entertainment. The crew at the pool...

Los Lagos was our base for 4 nights whilst we explored the Arenal area. We had researched the hotel before we booked it, so we kind of knew what to expect but here's our thoughts. The rooms are basic, think 3* Greek Island hotel but clean and perfectly serviceable. Our only real complaint is that there was no where to...
