This is an amazing place to stay in Arenal. If you are considering booking this place, do it. The people writing negative reviews are probably just spoiled unhappy travelers who are looking for a reason to complain. We stayed here two nights during a 10 day road trip around the country. We did a lot of beach towns during our...

My friend and I visited Costa Rica March 5-11 and wanted to stay part of our stay in the Arenal location. We came across this lodge and thought it looked good for its price. Little did we know how amazing the views of the Volcano would be from our balcony, actually you could see the volcano from the comfort of...

We just stayed with our 3 teenage boys for 5 nights while doing adventures in the area. It was a very authentic, relaxing Costa Rican ranch. We stayed in a chalet at the top of the hill in the resort. It had 2 queen (I think) beds and a pull out chair. The view of the volcano was beautiful. It...

We rented a chalet which definitely made the stay better. We were in an upper floor chalet room which provided amazing views of the Arenal volcano in the morning to wake up to. The rooms are dated but very spacious. The beds are super hard though and I didn't get a good night's rest the entire time. The food at...

First a warning the trip to the hill top lodge is for a well-built vehicle! Despite a long trip from the airport in Liberia. The lodge is a warm and very welcoming place. The staff were friendly and helpful. The views breathtaking, with the smoking Arenal volcano seemed a stones throw across the valley. It was so relaxing and invigorating...

I had stayed at this hotel approximately 10 years ago and I'm going to assume they have done nothing to maintain or up keep the hotel. The room description online was deceiving at best. It showed big picture windows and a great view with an updated modern room. I don't think the room has been updated since 1980. Not to...

This hotel is really old and unloved. From the minute you arrive the heavy brown finish is depressing. Rooms are dark. Breakfast is very basic. Best to try somewhere else. The long drive to the hotel is annoying, and it is along way to go to any town if you need to eat other food which would be a good...

Where to start... First, this was a part of our 2 week honeymoon trip through Costa Rica. Our agent booked us a junior suite; which online photos depict a beautiful un-obstructed view of the volcano and wood floors. The photos also show an oversized balcony with nice swings/chairs. We checked in to find our tile-floor room overlooking the parking/entrance area...

Stayed one night, 2/18/17, wish we had one more night. Basic accommodations but certainly good enough (although I had to unscrew the overhead fan light bulbs to shut them off and keep the fan running). In the middle of a beautiful remote area with an amazing volcano view. Nice trails to wander around in and wonder what you're going to...
