We stayed here 5 nights (my wife, myself, and our 2 teenage kids). Our room was well appointed with a kitchenette / breakfast nook, and all the furniture and amenities were very high quality. The location is terrific and the pool came in handy in the heat. We were greeted by singing birds each morning - they loved the gardens... More

This is a wonderful family owned hotel. David, who bought the hotel from his parents, has been working hard to raise the standards of what was already a great little hotel... one of the nice suprizes was the community kitchen... well equipped, it gives the travlers a nice option ... being located beside a grocery store also helps! Wonderful owners with a great welcoming and accommodating attitude. Their compact grounds are kept immaculate and attract lots of beautiful birds. Nice pool and grounds. Alejandro was on the front desk while we were there and he was totally helpful in arranging any excursions we desired at reasonable rates. The meals at Restaurante Mi Casa across the road were really... More

Clean room with shower, tv, a/c, and refrigerator all working well. Hotel is nearly one mile from the center of La Fortuna, but there is a sidewalk the entire way if you wish to walk. The hotel is on the same side of town as many of the attractions, so the location works fairly well with three restaurants on adjacent... More

Great little hotel. Charming. SO clean and well kept. Spacious rooms. Large showers. Family covered outdoor kitchen and eating area with access for all was an unusual amenity that was much appreciated. Alejandro at the front desk is an absolute gem! He takes great care of his guests, makes them feel so welcome and appreciated.

It was amazing stay. The hotel staff were really nice and helpful and gave us a lot of recommendations. The view from the room was great, straight to the pool and Aranal volcano. The room itself contained anything we needed, had a great balcony, tv and so on. The only disadvantage is the distance from the town center, but if... More

It's affordable and #1 TA rating doesn't hurt. It's not as upscale as some other options, but that's not what our family of five was seeking. It's plenty comfortable, clean, and relaxing after a day of adventure. What makes the place—as the other reviews indicate—is the owner. Michael is VERY helpful and will help set up any activity you want.... More
