We found this to be a good family-focused option in La Fortuna. Our room was simple but well appointed with kitchenette, and a good shower. The on-site facilities are very good, with a small pool that's popular with kids and a gym. There is a...More

We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by David the owner who is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and all have a view of the volcano and one night from the viewing platform we were greeted by a gorgeous sunset. The pool...More

I spent 2 nights at Hotel Bijagua. The grounds are well kept and there is a nice pool. The staff were exceptionally friendly and were helpful with advice on things to do and places to eat. Book your tours through the front desk for a...More

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Our family had a unit upstairs down the back. Kids loved the pool. Only issue is the dogs that barked reasonably consistently throughout the night and the rooster that started at 4:30am. Both on neighbouring properties to the back unit....More

Hi, sorry just seen your questions. Yes the Hotel had a grill and yes you can get around easy without a hire car as buses are good and taxis cheap and we walked to the falls and volcano too! Sam

Dear Greg, in that case I recommend to pick a taxi at the airport. The price is $140 max 4 people. The last shared shuttle service leaves at 3pm and the price is $39 per person. Best Regards! David C.

Not sure about the room configurations ,the web site does describe the bed set up in each type of room. We had a double bed and quite a good kitchen set up .
