We got let down and used this place for an overnight emergency stop, after our travel plans backfired at little .It is very basic and impersonal but clean with an attached restaurant again of the basic variety . It is also usefully situated right in the middle of town . It's quite noisy but cheap at about £30 per night...

Cabinas was in a great location, and the staff and owner were helpful. The kitchen where they sell meals has great food. The kitchen for guests to use needs some upgrades. There was no screen on the bathroom window so the bugs got in at night, but we did not mind. Overall we felt it was a little overpriced, but...

Location is convenient- just 100 metres from the Main Street and town centre. Basic rooms were clean, shower was hot. A/C and wifi worked. Hotel photos are very misleading. The entrance and first impression of the place is run down and shabby. The back street location next to a lumber yard doesn't help. We were given small hand towels when...

it is in the town centre, well located, but quiet enough to relax. it offers a porche and rustic / basic accommodation. you can park easily and then drive for your trekking in the Arenal, which is great. Views from the garden are impressive!

We spent 2 here two nights. In general the accommodation is okay. Even relation money/value is compared to the rest of Costa Rica okay. Quoting the owner : " what do you expect for 25 USD ?" . I would say: "a little bit more friendliness from the owner" + The cleaning lady does a good job. + New soap...

Stayed here for 1 night in August with my husband. A clean, basic hostel with a very welcoming and warm owner. The owner also had lots of helpful information in regards to activities nearby - we ended up booking a day at Baldi Hot Springs with him. Good location with shops and food places within walking distance. It was very...

The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They helped us with every thing we needed during our stay including shuttles and finding cool attractions. The rooms are clean, with air conditioning. In every room there is a tv. The hotel has a good location, close to a lot of restaurants.

The best thing of this hostel is the staff, in particular Mr. Arturo: he is very friendly and full of advises. The room was large and comfortable. The only negative things were the noise handwash in the bathroom and the number of little ants walking everywhere in the room.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and found it to be our favorite hotel of the three hotels we visited. The fact that it was so affordable made it even better. The room was totally private - no shared walls. It even had its own cute balcony with a bench. The shower was HUGE and had hot...

“In April you will definitely need air con as it is very humid. There is a supermarket next door and they sometimes blast music for promotions from 7am - you can hear it loud and clear. Make sure you go to the Baldi hot springs!”
