My boyfriend and I stayed here last winter and were warmly welcomed from the couple. They were so outgoing and helpful and the place was clean:-) onto down the road from the other busy hostels, was nice and quiet

Excellent value private rooms a very short walk from the centre of town. It is quiet, and not a hostel as such - not really any socialising with other guests. However, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable with AC and cable TV. There is a kitchen on site, though we didn't use it. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet...

First you have to keep in mind that La Fortuna is, itself, a tourist trap. Everything in a tourist area is more expensive than other locations. The hotel is easy to pass, it took me three times before I spotted the place. It has a sign out front for laundry service. This is a family run small hotel within walking...

I found this place to be very nice and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean, with air conditioning for a good price. The family who run the hostel are very nice and most helpful in offering advice in visiting the national park. The communal kitchen is basic, but has just enough to get by.

In past 6 years stayed here many times... - -New people have more than doubled prices.- A true ---TOURIST TRAP Wrote reviews of this place before with high praises, no more. Also in supposed "coin laundry" it cost me $10 USD just to dry 1 load of clothes.

Private bathroom, a huge room, nice garden: all for a very modest price! Plus: not a hostel where they try to sell you tours (since nobody speaks English!). On the other hand, rooms were a bit basic and the kitchen was poorly equipped (wonky frying pans and such)

We stayed at the PoSada Inn for two nights at the beginning of our trip across Costa Rica. We didn't communicate much with the owners since there was a language barrier, however they were fantastic hosts. The inn is located just a few hundred metres from the heart of La Fortuna, which made it a very conveniently located place to...

Posada Inn is pretty standard as far as basic hostel accommodations, but there are a few things that made this place great. The location is two-ish blocks away from the town center, so everything is close but the hostel is still quiet at night. And there's a cute little outdoor covered kitchen and seating area. No breakfast, but free wifi...

If you're looking for a cheap hostel, this is your place. The price is unbeatable. However, you certainly get what you pay for. When we arrived, there was a dead cockroach on the floor. One of the bed frames was being eaten by termites, as evidenced by the pile of wood dust on the floor. The other bed was full...

First, the positives: The owner was very friendly and provided great advice for affordable things to do in La Fortuna. Also, the hotel was very very cheap, which is exactly what we were looking for. The price made up for all of the negatives, but I could see how other travelers' priorities might not match up with my "budget first,...
