I stayed here two nights when I first arrived and two other nights during my first visit to Costa Rica. They were able to accommodate me at the last minute when another hotel messed up my reservation. I enjoyed Vida Tropical on several levels. It was relatively inexpensive for the quality of the rooms and breakfast, it was convenient to...

I needed a place to stay when I landed at San Jose before I took off for the coast the next day. This B&B is conveniently located near the airport and quite affordable. The people are friendly and helpful. The place is simple and clean. I walked a few blocks downtown to the shops. The cab ride was $8. Owner...

We went to visit friends in Southern Costa Rica. Before traveling to Southern CR, we took a taxi to this recommended B & B in Alajuela (10 minutes from the San Jose airport) for one night after our long plane trip. Restful, quiet, clean. The breakfast, prepared lovingly by Silvia, was great starting with fresh CR coffee and fruit, followed...

This B&B is in excellent location. Close to the airport and everything, walking distance to restaurants and could even order and deliver from restaurants. Silvia cleans and washes bed sheets every other day. The owner Norman and Isabel is very hospitable and could help you with everything you need even buying used vehicle. Their assistant Nicoli could also help you...

We enjoyed our stays here in May (3 nights), June (1 night) and July(2 nights). It is conveniently located near the international airport, the manager Isabel and other staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are very well appointed for the price. Isabel and her husband Norman who runs a nearby restaurant, speak excellent English. We enjoyed many conversations...

I spent two nights in this lovely, cozy place. I chose it for the close proximity to SJO airport. My room with private bath was the Garden Room at the back of the property, with a paved walkway to the main house. It was a basic room, but had a sitting area outside the door that offered a view of the...

Very kind manager who was happy to help us Gringos on our first trip to Costa Rica. We stayed here on our first night and again in our last night in CR. It is in the city of Alajuela and very near to many cute little restaurants and coffee shops yet close enough to the highways that lead out of...

We stayed as family of 4 in Bamboo room for 2 nights and my husband stayed in Terrace for 1 night. The villa is very close to city centre but off on a quiet street. The rooms are small but very comfortable and for 1-2 night it is more then adequate. Nice, new bathrooms. The best thing is breakfast. You...

“As should be expected, the rooms along the front street side are more subject to the motorcycle and car noise during the day and into the evening some. The Terrace room bed was fine for sleeping, but it's a Murphy bed and has a hard wooden edge all around it. I don't know if the other rooms are the same.”
