I absolutely loved my stay at Pura Vida this November. The view is to die for and the food was fabulous (and healthy!) I enjoyed the classes and treatments that I took part in and our room was comfortable and spacious. Obviously being set in a beautiful and expansive garden ... there will be bugs. My only down-fall for this...

Pura Vida was just what we needed to escape the high stress, fast paced hustle and bustle of modern life. We stayed for a week in the Lila Suite which was jaw droppingly gorgeous and perfect for our needs. The Lila had a full open air concept, a private bathroom with a massive rain drop shower, plus a separate bath...

Please note:I stayed in April 2014 and reviewing months after my stay. Although I have been using TripAdvisor for years, I recently joined as member since I realized the importance of actually being active and participate with reviews. (New business owner). This places is wonderful, staff and location is quite beautiful. The food is so-so comparing it to other retreat...

My February trip makes the 15th time I have gone to Pura Vida for a week mid winter! I've gone 7 & 9 days each time. All but one of these trips were for a specific Kripalu yoga instructor's weeklong retreat. Obviously I love the place if I've gone so many years! I've watched it change, as buildings were built...

I stayed here for a Myoskeletal workshop and had a great time. I got a tent-alow for myself with a king bed near the water fountain. I was very pleased with the overall experience. It's a bit overpriced for what it is. But I would visit again.

I did the week package with the spa for my first trip to Costa Rica. THe price was reasonable and there were nice inclusions such as side excursions, yoga classes, and a spa treatment. My room was very mediocre. the stopper on my sink was broken and the window hardware was broken. The windows would not shut tightly because of...

I am basing my review on past experiences as I have not been to Pura Vida in about 7 years, but had been there many times. I am hoping to visit again in the fall. The staff, accommodations, food, and extras have always been wonderful. It is a wonderful place to unwind and just relax. I am excited to see...

I spent 4 nights at Pura Vida spa & yoga retreat. It was the perfect way to unwind after a month long trip to Costa Rica. Because the spa is located near the San Jose airport it is a perfect way to either start a trip or to end one...or both! The grounds are lovely and lush. There is a...

Did a mini-yoga retreat in Pura Vida (i say mini because i didn't book the full week but only stayed there for 3 days on my way to another Full Yoga Retreat). The property is nice and serene. I booked a room which was clean and spacious and had a nice balcony with a gorgeous view on San Jose city,...

I stayed at Pura Vido Spa and Yoga Retreat in Novemeber of 2013. The property was beautiful, the accomodations were great and the staff was both friendly and helpful. I did the 3 day Body, Mind, Spirit package and really enjoyed it. Did some great day excursions as well that the staff set up. I was traveling alone and there...
