this 168 motel is a very-good-value-budget-option at an an excellent location, sitting right between the Chinese Old Town and Bund area ... plenty inexpensive Chinese restaurants and stores close by. standard rooms are no frills-not-large-not-tiny ... and clean. been there 2 years ago already ... still looked the same (a very good sign) - management really keeps this one tidy,...

Great location, short walk to the Bund, close to underground station. Also, just 2 mins away there was a bakery and a Tesco Express which came in handy! Shopping around every corner which was great too! None of the staff spoke english, which was surprising, although they did try their best.

This a brand new hotel located at Shanghai, Puxi, Jin Ling Dong Road. It is a perfect location where you can travelled to most of the attraction within walking distance. It's only a 10 minutes walk to City Centre and 20 minutes walk to Yu Yuen Garden (one of the famous tourist attraction). The hotel is located at the old...

We stayed at the motel 168 in East Jing Ling Road which is at a different location to this. I must say that in all the places I stayed this has to be the worst experience. A friend in Shanghai had booked a 5 night stay for us. During our stay we figured out that the motel offers rooms at...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
