Neighbourhood
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.

Dear Wanderer12546981971: Thank you very much for your kind review of your recent stay with us! The URBN team and I very much appreciate the time you took to write about your experience with us. We are also appreciative of the place in which we are lucky enough to work: the tree-lined street is, indeed, close to the action without being loud. We are in such close proximity to a plethora of restaurants and sites and yet we are able to work in such a quiet, peaceful place! I'm so happy that you found our staff to be attentive, our rooms clean and well-designed. We hope you will return to stay with us again in the future. Best, Claire

I stayed here for a 5 night stay in Shanghai and really enjoyed it. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The design was very tasteful. I loved the old suitcase-wall behind reception. The staff were very helpful and spent time recommending restaurants for us.

The term "boutique" hotel is horribly over-used and abused, but URBN is the real deal. It is small with a huge amount of character. A lot of attention has been paid throughout the hotel and it doesn't feel at all corporate. We arrived early, tired after a long flight from Eng

Good stay at URBN for 7 nights. The hotel is partly constructed from reclaimed wood and bricks from the French Concession era which is a nice touch. The highlights are the lovely staff who can communicate well and are very helpful, as well as the restaurant/bar area with a great

What transportation is from Pudong to URBN?
We arrive at 3:35PM at Pudong on Oct 27. Our res # is 99918080 What are our options for transportation to URBN Thank you, Rochelle Wright
you can get the metro line 2 direct from Pudong airport to Jing'An Temple station. Then the URBN hotel is just 5 mins walk from there. It will take about 1hr and cost is very cheap : less than $1. You can buy tickets at a machine with English instructions. Of course you can get a taxi too, follow signs for Taxis at the airport and ignore any touts who approach you. Have the address in Chinese if possible (hotel can provide this ) , it will take about an hour and cost about $30.00.

You will love the URBN. Roxette at the front desk was very helpful. Say "hi" to her for me :-)
