We enjoy the comfortable bed, as we went during the winter months the heaters helped made the room cozy at just the right temperature. Location was good, surrounded by near by malls with easy access to eateries.

I have stayed in this hotel twice in the past three weeks, both in a refurbished room and one that has not been refurbished. I was comfortable in both, (both non-smoking). The bar and lobby are consistent with a 4 star hotel. The breakfast café has a good variety of food. The gym is very good and the Spa is...

The location is hard to beat, a very short walk to JingAn temple and MRT station. Cross Yanan road towards the temple and you are right in one of the major shopping, business and eating districts with many cheap and high end restaurants. Stay south of Yanan and you have more of a neighborhood feel, with more local shops, cafes,...

I stated in this hotel 20 years ago and I found out that it had been recently renovated. The price is very reasonable but make sure you pay more to get a room not facing the highway. The room is clean and tidy, service is good. Wifi is fast and signal is strong. Only 5 mins walk to subway station,...

This is a super hotel, all we needed for a post cruise over night stay! Clean, comfortable and a good location for an evening stroll . Shopping is great and the Jing An Temple is also very close to the hotel; a truly amazing sight! We would be very happy to return to this hotel.

Arrival was ok but I was told that my booking was for an old room and better I pay more 100RMB per night to upgrade to newer room. Ummmm.. ok so I ended up doing that. Priscilla told me breakfast and Internet included ok. Got to room which looked like a well used room with view across to the temple....

Usually stay next door at the Hilton, but they were full and suggested I stay here. I think I might stay at this hotel from now on. It is, in my opinion, just as good at the Hilton and not quite as expensive. The robes and slippers are so very soft. The bed was comfortable and the newly renovated rooms...

Loved my red chair in my room. Really comfortable bed. Very clean. Concierge very helpful. Cafe 65 has good food -- and open late. Restaurant on second floor is not bad. Good location -- walkable to French Concession. Easy cab to the Bund. Second time staying and would again when in Shanghai.

Was staying 4 nights in this hotel and being arranged to a newly renovated room. The room is clean and nice view. The location is great and nearby got a lot of eateries places. The stuff are really nice and help me to call a taxi outside the main road.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
