Check in is slow at times.
Location is good to get around shanghai as it is near major highways and malls.
The Japanese food on the 3rd floor is good.
Suggest to ask for non-smoking room as the smoking rooms have a strong smell ..
Good central location; good rooms and overall infrastructure; Japanese management can be felt throughout the facility and also inside the rooms (especially through the heated toilets ;)) the staff is quite slow and unprofessional for a 5 star rated hotel; the internet is extremely slow;...More
This is a typical Japanese brand hotel. With grand lobby, large and comfortable room and facilities. The staff are very proactive and helpful. We tried to look for a nice place to have a drink after midnight. Since the bar at hotel has closed, a...More

The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious
restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
