Spent 2 nights at this property and my review as follows: 1) Location: around 30 minutes taxi ride from Pudong International Airport (midight rate, I paid CNY160). It is directly above the Subway Station Century Park (exit 4). There is a supermarket across the hotel. Century Park (recreational park with a lake) is opposite the hotel. Using metro/subway to Nanjing...

I have never stayed at a hotel where the room actually looked better than the best pictures ~ and my room did. I stayed in a gorgeous deluxe room and it was the best. It was large and so cool, even had a balcony. I was there solo for 3 nights and felt 100% safe. There are monitors plus a...

At check-out I was forced to pay for INCOMING Phone Calls! I have never ever in my life seen anyone charging for incoming calls. Even after mentioning that charging incoming calls is inappropriate - the Hotel insists on charging incoming phone calls. Watch out in case you receive calls - it can get expensive!

Dear Guest, I am sorry to learn of your unpleasant stay experience. I have personally double checked the telephone call run report and telecommunication company, it indicated that your mentioned phone call was an outgoing call. Please forgive our Front Desk colleague she was by no mean to offence you, the fact is none of the hotel in Shanghai charging...

It was our first trip to Shanghai, so we were a little uneasy. We followed the instructions provided by previous reviewers for the trip from the Pudong airport to the hotel. It went very smoothly...took the Maglev (located in the middle of terminal 1 and 2) to the end, transferred to Line 2, got off after just one stop (Century...

We choose this hotel due to special promotion and easy access by subway and Maglev (longyang) train station. If you come up from subway exit 4, you will see the hotel entrance small door on your left at street level.Hotel is located in quite business neighborhood and across from the park. I stayed at Dorsett Shanghai for 1 night and was thoroughly impressed. First, the rate (through booking.com) was extremely reasonable at Y588 per night including 15% tax but not inclusive of breakfast. Second, the service was impeccable. Compared to my previous two nights at 88 XIntiandi which is more than double the price, Dorsett Shanghai's staff is much more attentive....

Stayed there in October for about a week. Why I like it: 1. convenient location and easy access I am a big fan of public transit -- in any major city. Dorsett is right off the exit from Line-2 Century Park (exit 4). Taxi is plenty in Shanghai, but have the easy access by subway is a big plus, especially...

Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
