Getting from airport was easy via taxi - the shuttle could be more frequent - at present when I arrived the last shuttle was in the morning and there was nothing until post 1pm, this would have left me at airport for hours with nothing to do!
Do not get a taxi - they will scam you, use DiDi app and head to ‘taxi hailing pick up’ area - these points are all numbered. The difference in price between DiDi and this is massive, don’t fall for this, if you do take taxi make sure you see the meter running before leaving as it’s a known scam for them to block it from view and charge you ten times more!
Check in was easy and quick. Assumed staff would have some level of English but not the case, but understandable I guess.
Room was lovely and clean and Mini bar had coffee and cans of 7up etc all replaced daily and free. In the evening there is Chinese tea in lobby - nice touch but some guests take down a flash and fill leaving nothing for others! Hotel staff should stop this. Bathroom had all usual amenities such as shampoo, tooth brush etc.
Shuttle to Disney is very frequent and takes literally 5-10 minutes each way. Drop off and pick up is at stand 5 of the Disney car park - very easy to find at the end of the night after fireworks and quick getting home to hotel in 10 minutes even with busy traffic.
I took shuttle into Bund area twice and used this to them move around the city from there using metro. Use Alipay app for metro card and pay when you visit. All places take this all over city. I used metro to get home and walked to hotel from the nearby metro stop - it’s only 10 - 15 minute walk along a straight road - why is there no walking footpath into the hotel from the road? I do not the hotel does shuttle to this metro station.
Only issue I had with this hotel is the lack of early drop off shuttle to Hongqiao airport - first one is 9.30am and only goes to terminal 2, meant I had to get taxi in the end which was not ideal.
All in all, good stay, I would try the Novotel up the road next time - closer to metro station and uses the same shuttle to and from park.

To sum it up, it is the best hotel to stay in, if you are going to Shanghai Disney Resort to play with your family and you have a tight budget!
Firstly, we love the shuttle arrangements they have to/from the hotel to Disney as well as the ones going to the airport. So so convenient! For the airport shuttle, be sure to contact the hotel in advance to book the seats so that they will at least expect and wait for you. If you arrive in Hongqiao airport, it will take some time to walk to where the shuttle is, so give or take at least 1-1.5 hours buffer from the time of your flight arrival, when picking the shuttle time. The shuttles mostly departs on time and for the Disney ones, I feel that it was frequent enough so the wait is not so bad.
Secondly, the room is spacious enough for a family of 4. We've got 2 queen beds and they even provided us a tent for the kids to play with, as well as the plush toys as decoration. Our kids were happy with the room, that they were still pretty excited when we returned all tired from the park, so no grumpy kids in the hotel for us. Breakfasts were of the usual standard for us, with a wide array of choices of food. It's just I wish they will provide the standard cutleries (normal spoon, tea spoon, fork) somewhere, if anyone needs them, instead of just soup spoon and chopsticks.
Out of the 4 days 3 nights we were there, we were mostly out in the morning and returned at night. We loved how the housekeeping department their job spotlessly. Our room was clean, bottled water were always adequately provided and bathroom was clean. Thank you for doing a great job to the overall team. We love the friendliness of the staffs at the lobby and concierge, as well as the unseen but wonderful effort from the housekeeping staffs. We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. Definitely a great value of money!

It's been a good option for a stay near the Shanghai Disney Resort (but for a fraction of the price at Disney hotels inside the resort). The hotel provides shuttle bus to and from Disney and we found it very convenient especially for leaving the Disney park at peak hours after the nighttime fireworks. I recommend the camping / family rooms if you're staying with kids. My daughter loves the tent and all the kid amenities in-room.
Decent variety of Chinese and Western food at breakfast. The hotel was very generous to extend free breakfast to my family members in the 2nd room under the same booking. Please note that there is no lounge is this Courtyard as the staff member explained to me that they're a resort hotel. They offered a complimentary afternoon tea set to us. Solid Courtyard property and I will stay there again for my next Shanghai Disney trip.

Not the courtyard standard. Doesn’t so much need an upgrade but a deep clean. Carpets need cleaning or replacing very dirty in the hotel/ rooms. Cigarette smoke smell in corridors Seats at breakfast not clean.

If you are visiting Shanghai Disney, this is certainly a hotel you could consider because the price of the stay is so much more affordable than the Disney hotels without their services being compromised in anyway ! The hotel offers transfers to/ fro to the Pudong International airport which is great ! ( starts at 7 am and ends 6.30 pm - prebooking needed ) They also arrange for shuttle bus to Shanghai Disney resort as early as 7 am and 10.30 pm the last bus back to the hotel! It’s best to have breakfast included because there ain’t any eateries around ! They do allow takeaways from outside but you would need to know how to operate the China takeaway app or you could ask the hotel front desk staff for help. In front of the hotel are cubicles for storing the ordered takeaways . Here I would like to specially commend Mr Joy Lu front desk desk who has been very helpful and provide very good advice . The hotel breakfast has a very wide spread so there would be something for everyone. The room Is clean but not much of a view and if you needed anything , the response is very prompt ! All in all, I had a very pleasant three day stay there !

Whole hotel smells of cigarettes. Other than the elderly bell boy, the rest of the staff service was very bad.
Front desk could just leave us and talk to her colleagues when we were mid way through the conversation. Restaurant also did not provide invoice for the food ordered.
Room was open concept without proper ventilation odour stay in the room very long.

I even put a toilet in my home similar to the one at this hotel. The rooms are large and the beds are huge. The king bed is massive. I tell anyone visiting Shanghai’s Disneyland to stay here. Complimentary shuttle to/from PVG airport and Disneyland. The reason for my pre-visit comment is the service I received from Fred Pan who I used the chat system to text with on the bonvoy app. I was shocked that someone would respond as I know the time difference was considerably different and probably 4am his time. Fred assisted me with so much detail that I needed to feel comfortable with the upcoming trip. He reserved my airport shuttle for my son and I and made sure we had the proper bedding for our upcoming arrival. I am a hotel Manager in Orlando, Florida for a major “Entertainment” Company and would love to have my staff take care of my Guests the way Fred took care of me. High quality service before the stay is sure to make the stay that much more enjoyable. Thanks to Fred and looking forward to an awesome visit!!

I really enjoyed my short stay here and its the place to definitely book if your planning to go to Disneyland. The hotel was very cosy warm and welcoming especially hotel employee Rachel she was so kind to accommodate me with a late checking since it left to disneyland upon arriving at 7am. We chose this hotel as it is near to Disneyland. Complimentary Hotel shuttle is provided from Airport to Hotel and Hotel to Disneyland which is a plus point however shuttle bus was not well maintained, smelly and dirty. The hotel concierge service was also another disappointment. The male Concierge wearing the golden keys was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Receptionists were more helpful than the Concierge staff. Buffet Breakfast was average too. Will not choose this hotel if I ever return to Shanghai.
