Great curb appeal. Friendly staff. Convenient to downtown and I-10. Clean, large, comfortable room. HOT water. Nice gas-lamp vibe. I really wanted to like this place. Could be a winner if they would update rooms to accommodate modern tech. Desk and lamp positioned nowhere near a plug. Had to rearrange the furniture. Extension cord in room was of the two-prong...

KerouacFan, We are very sorry your stay with us was not to your satisfaction. I am glad you mentioned the need for 3-pronged chargers. We will look into that. We are going to work on the breakfast as well. I am curious of which room you stayed in. Please let us know so we can address the problem. Please call...

What a pleasant surprise the courtyard is. Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in, but the staff was friendly. Very close to lots of interesting sites. We booked through an online booking site, and we're not aware that a local sorority was having a function there which got rather loud. Otherwise pleasant.

PAH68, Thank you for your review. I am sorry the noise in the courtyard disturbed you. We do rent the courtyard for various events, weddings ect... All events are meant to be over by 10 o'clock. We hope you will stay with us again. Kind Regards, J.B.

We loved our stay in this beautifully renovated historic Inn. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. We will stay here again next year. I highly recommend this Inn to everyone. The management was super accommodating with all of our needs and very professional. The location was perfect as we were right across the street from the dance competition our daughters...

Excellent large rooms, friendly staff, very nice receptionist who told us where to eat. Definitely pleased we picked this hotel over the other sterile, anonymous chain hotels on offer. Breakfast was good too, good selection on offer. Walking distance from old time.

Truly a getaway from corporate style hotels and a walk into the early 1900's. Private, comfy, very clean updated yet still to its time period. The courtyard is its center piece where we gathered as a couple at night under the oil burning lights setting on the orinal pavers. Classically brilliant. I suggest upgrading to the rooms that have not...

My husband and I stopped in Mobile on our way to New Orleans. The Inn was very nice, our room was very large with a large newly remodeled bathroom. The courtyard is very nice with a beautiful fountain and plants. The location is great, within walking distance to Dauphin street with lots of restaurants and shops. We also visited the...

The building was historic and quaint. The room was very nice. The courtyard was beautiful and relaxing. The staff was fantastic! So friendly and willing to help. We couldn't figure out a few things in the room and as soon as we mentioned them, someone came up, checked on it and showed us how they worked. I highly recommend the...

I recently stayed here for a reunion of old college friends. It was perfect. The staff was very very helpful and pleasant, the courtyard pretty and nicely planted and inviting, my room lovely and very spacious and very reasonable, and the location very good. I had a "historic" room, and it had a very large and pretty balcony. And a...

In an era of cinder block conformity, it was a relief to go to a hotel that wears its eccentricity like a badge of honor. Family run, furnished in late period Addams family, and just a little bit off, the Malaga is an opportunity to enjoy being in a hotel as a quirky destination. Yes the bed was comfortable, and...

My son and I were traveling from Memphis to Tampa but stopped in Mobile to visit the Battleship Alabama Memorial Park. We decided to stay at the Malaga Inn to get away from the normal, boring hotel stay. From answering questions about the hotel over the phone to booking the room to checking us in and guiding us on a...

Chad, Thank you so much for writing such a nice review. I enjoyed showing you and your son the "secret room" under the house. Thanks for such a beautiful description of our hotel. It was a pleasure to know you. I hope you will stop by if you are ever in Mobile again. Sincerely, J.B.
