We are flash packers always looking for a deal on hotels.. and always trying to avoid cockroaches which scare the %&#@ out of us. Prices in Malacca China town were way too high.. geared towards richer Chinese we suspect. Heeren Inn had rooms for under 100 ringgit which suites us fine. Decent rooms.. Asian clean.. no roaches.. the staff were...

I didn't book it online,I just went to melacca, asked at tourist centre for the budget hotel and they advised me to go to this guest house.I reckon, that advice was really good.heerene inn is in a very useful strategic location, right rear of melaca river,1min walk away from zonker walk,3mins from dutch square and other sites of melaca are easily approachable...

We came to this place by Chance and WOW, it was perfect, friendly Manager, good Price, nice room, clean, quiet, i can only totally recommend this place. The wifi only works in a certain spot but the Manager told this to us right away so that was fine with us. Hot water worked well and the bed was comfy.

Icy air con, super friendly hosts, WONDERFUL location. Cheap beer and an adorable courtyard...moments from Jonker Walk and night markets. A very pleasant, peaceful well located place to stay in the heart of the Old City...

I stayed here as a single for a few nights and it was really clean, safe, good location and the staff were very helpful with bus tickets, taxi, umbrella, directions etc. I would definitely stay there again as it is better maintained than some others at the price.

We came across this place looking for accommodation in Melaka. It was relatively clean and reasonably priced: RM90/dbl. The host seemed abrupt on our first impression; however having more and more conversations with him we started to like each other and the accommodation turned from plain to colourful. He gave us suggestions on where to eat, what to see etc....

We paid 90rm for a double room with bathroom. It wasn´t a huge room, but it was clean and comfortabely furnished, and the window faced out to the back so it was very quiet. The location is fantastic - right in the middle of everything you want to see and do, and when we had to sort out a problem...

I was travelling solo for the weekend and I arrived in Malacca at 10.30am after a 2.5hr from Johor. I wandered around looking for a basic clean hotel that was an easy walk from the action. I stumbled upon Heeren Inn & I asked at the desk about a double room with own bathroom. The rate was RM90 per night...

The location is great, 2 minutes walk to all the main sites and restaurant you will go to, fort, jonker walk. Yet located in a quiet street, quiet enough you will not hear the night music buzzing. There is nothing fantastic about the hotel itself or its service. The owner is a no nonsense guy, will not likely go out...
