Peranakan Culture themed hotel perfectly situated in the midst of malacca central. We had a blast strutting around Melaka and Jonker street then taking retreat after in this museum like hotel was a superb combination. A must try for malacca travelers. Only needs improvement on their breakfast menu, food choices were dull and cold.

Right in the middle of the old town. The room was pretty big and clean. There's room without windows. We choose with window. Our room was on the back, has huge balcony over looking the parking lot. Nice to sit outside when the sun is down. Breakfast was lame on weekdays, bread, fried eggs and jam. Weekend has more variety.... More

Stayed here during the trip several years ago, forgot to write a review then. The room is clean with all the facilities required. The location for this place is also good, able to walk to Jonker street, etc. It is really a nice place to immerse yourself into the culture, a place to sit back and really relax~

We were surprised by how much this place had improved from our last stay here. The rooms now have card access, and there are even basic toiletries available. The common areas have also been refurbished. For the price, this is a good place to stay and it is close to the nearby famous eateries. Breakfast is basic but very reasonable... More

An amazing experience to stay here in the heart of the Chinese heritage district. A very old building - amazingly cheap and with an absolutely fascinating historical interior. As far removed from a Travelodge as it is possible to be! A small room but again, with fascinating fittings. A bit noisy at the front but worth it to get the... More

Located at a quieter street parallel to Jonker street, and being a hotel refurbished from a heritage building make it an interesting place to stay. For the price of the rooms, I would think it is a decent place to stay in. Rooms are basic but clean. More importantly, given the hot and humid weather in Melaka, the powerful air... More

We arrived in Melaka without a hotel booking as we unfortunately did not realize that it seemed to be holiday season. Every hotel we tried was fully booked and so we ended up at Baba House unintentionally as they had a room. This is a tired, very basic hotel, although their price for a room was not very cheap. The... More

Me and my wife stayed at the Baba House located at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock Malacca, Malaysia. The Hotel is a historic building show casing traditional Peranakan culture and decoration. It is conveniently located in the heart of historic Malacca - short walking distance to the many Shops and Eateries along the vibrant Jonker Street. The Hotel room is... More
