I have been travelling in SE Asia for almost four years. I use Melaka as my "Home Base" and Travellers Planet is my "Second Home" for those four reasons in the title - the Four C's. I wrote a review for this place about 3 years ago but a lot has changed since then. The entire place has been upgraded... More

We had a private en-suite room with AC and a small TV. The room was very clean, but tiny. Sadly the windows were broke so didn't seal and this let in mossies and other bugs from outside. Our window also faced the outer street so night time was incredibly noisy and very little sleep was had. The bed itself was... More

We stayed for 4 nights at this hostel for our Melaka trip. It was a very pleasant place to stay with basic amenities. I like how we are able to use the kitchen and cook ourselves any meal. We even cook dinner and we just get all the things we needed from the supermarket. It is within walking distance to... More

After staying in a hostel eithout breakfast in KL and the hassle of finding some every morning we wanted to make sure we book a hostel with breakfast included next. This hostel had good reviews and hostel bookers.com said there are three standard rooms available with breakfast inclusive. However, when we got there the guy in the hotel said they... More

We had booked 2 nights with fan room with Traveller's Planet. Upon our check-in, our original room was taken. So we were upgraded into a room with aircon and attached bathroom for free!!! (It was a hostel, so that was really luxury). Very spacious and comfortable. But we were moved to our original room the next day, which was kind... More

We stayed a couple of nights. The room was very basic with mattress on the floor, couple of chairs and small desk but enough for a short stay. For the money it is a great deal. The communal area is spacious and relaxing. Shower and toilet are shared but separate so easy on the queues. Toilet not great though as... More

We'd paused for a cigarette on arrival to Melaka's bus terminal, and the lovely George approached us about his hostel. Turns out he knows my boyfriend's friend too (Melaka is SMALL!) and is generally a bit of a local expert. He gave us a little map and showed us which bus to hop onto. When we arrived at the hostel,... More
