The room is considered good for the price. Its drawbacks perhaps are the lack of access to clean drinking water and a lot mosquitoes at night. Nevertheless, I got to share room with some tourists from China, the Netherlands and USA. It is a great experience to be able to exchange knowledge on our culture.

Stayed in a private double en suite which was great value for money with air con and excellent WiFi. Location is perfect for exploring Melaka and you can hire bikes for just five ringgit for the duration of your stay.

This is the first hostel I ever stay. And it changes my opinion that staying in a hostel is not too bad. I stayed in a private single room with fan. It was clean and the location was very strategic. I would definitely recommend this lace for solo traveler and backpackers..

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff (especially Manuel). Room (private double) is ok, with mosquito net which saves you from dozens of mosquitoes around. Dorm beds look a bit less appealing. Some showers even have warm water, but with +30C you don't need to use it. Good wifi. The street is full of temples, so expect to be woken...

Wow, Jalan Jalan was great. Location was excellent. Met lots of people, from all over the world. The crew were great, helpful and with lots of recommendations. The crew took us to, We cook Indian food at a Temple, then we had breakfast there, went to Doris Chinese medicine bar. Dinner club was a great idea, never seen this before....

The location of this hostel is good and the staff are friendly but that's all this place has going for it. The place is not greatly clean and you can expect ants in the bathrooms...which are outside. Expect to be woken up early (sometime before 6am) during prayers from the nearby temple.

Fantastic little backpackers, great location. Great Staff. We where in the "overflow" building 100m down the road. Private room was clean and had a fan and window onto a small shared balcony where we could eat our breakfast. Bathrooms where acceptable. Free coffee/tea and hot/cold water. Good hostel atmosphere, fun in the evenings in the common area. Lee was a...

We arrived in Melaka around 11pm but had no problem locating Jalan-Jalan and checking in. We booked a private room and after check-in the staff walked us about 1 minute down the same street to a different property they owned but still under the Jalan-Jalan name. Our second story room was basic with a fan and a nice window that...

Great location in Chinatown, close to everything! Helpfull staff and good facilitys. Only thing that could get better is the price on laundry and the fact that you have to do it yourself. Pretty social hostel with neighboring restaurant-owners coming over after work.
