Loved the property and landscape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highlights were the food and the massive rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and the hotel took care of our every need. Thank you 💕
The area of resort is big and well maintained but they can make it more better...only two restaurant is working one on the beach and other one is near pool. Rooms are big and specious ... truly a 5 star feeling by looking at the rooms .. bathroom is also good . I book garden view room and it was a nice stay...but you need to call them again and again to fix things ..my room intercom was not working i asked them to fix it and they did it and it work for two days and after thats it stop working i asked them again but nobody came to fix it... shocking ryt. Restaurant is 24 hour but they take more than one hour to infinity to deliver your order in night and sometimes they bring half of it and inform you that kitchen is closed...i was so pissed of with there restaurant service. Some people are so good and caring ...they make your stay easy and comfortable , Special thanks to Mr. ABHISHEK from front desk , chef VEERU and restaurant staff SONU ...they really helped me whenever i needed.…
Firstly getting to the bottom line...this is simply not a 5-star resort. It barely makes for a 3-star resort. Getting through the reception phone itself was a challenge where they just dont pick the phone. Seems like the management looks to cut corners in all possible ways. Firstly, it was Xmas season and not a single xmas decor was to be spotted. Not even a xmas tree or a simple glittery runners. Secondly, inspite of travelling with a physically handicapped senior citizen, and inspite of repeatedly requesting for a room nearer, they alloted a room which took us 30mins to reach because my dad found it difficult to walk all that distance...it was that far off. Next when it was lunch time, when we ordered a-la-carte the food took more than 40mins to arrive. Coming to the rooms, they are soooo dated that it looks like it was built during the Portuguese times and never been renovated since. See pic. The flooring was so faded, the bathrooms had moulds growing all over the walls and tiles, there were cobwebs behind the drapes. I wonder if their housekeeping manager ever inspects the rooms. Apart from the large open spaces and secluded beach, this place has nothing to offer. The worst part, MUST READ FOR ALL VISITORS...they charge you a hefty GST on the room and restaurant, but give you a "kaccha" receipt. That is, there is no invoice number on it. When I confronted and asked the receptionist for a proper receipt, she told me that they give everyone the same. This is open cheating to their guest as well as government. When I insisted on a proper invoice, she called the finance manager and he was directing her on how to generate a proper invoice. Which obviously means they have been evading gst tax but yet collecting some 18% tax from their guest !!! This kind of practice was absolutely not expected from a 5-star hotel like the lalit. I was shocked and I can assure all the people who visited this place to check their invoice and would not find an invoice number on it!…
Right from the check in to check out......full marks. Amazing service, food was delicious. The team rocks under the leadership of the General Manager. Courteous staff.....always ready to help with a smile......special thanks to General Manager, Banquets, FO and F&B. Our off-site leadership Workshop couldn't have been a memorable experience without the The Lalit hospitality.
This was our second hotel during our holiday after spending first couple of days in North Goa. We arrived at our hotel after little longer than expected journey of almost 2 hours. We spent 2 nights at the hotel. Its is huge property probably the biggest one in Goa with plush golf course, gardens, an almost private pristine Beach and even a helipad! We were underwhelmed by the welcome during our arrival. There were only couple of staff in the big lobby with one attendant for luggage handling. We could make out that corona had made big impact on the hospitality sector and even big names like Lalit were facing staff shortages. I feel hotel was understaffed and which had an impact on service. Since Hotel is big and is spread out, we passed beautifully designed hallways to reach our room. Rooms are fairly large and there is ample space in and outside sitting area overlooking golf course. Finding food outside the hotel turned out to be quite a challenge for us vegetarians. But nevertheless, you have quite a few options near Palolem beach which is just 2-3 kms away. Well maintained gardens, golf course and swimming pools are a plus. There were quite a few activities available at the hotel including cycling, games for kids. I was annoyed though by the fact that everything was chargeable. Felt this should be provided free of cost, at least all games for kids. Stroll on the beach is best part of staying at this property since it is an isolated place and rarely frequented by guests other than from hotel. Sunset time at the beach was well spent. I went little deep inside the sea with my cousin enjoying waves dashing towards the seashore and splashing us at speed. Playing with my daughter and cousin on the beach, making sandcastle and breaking it before making another was highlight of the evening. You get relaxing foot massage from the locals on the beach. Don’t forget to get a tour of the property in the buggy from the hotel which is free and gives a fair idea about the property and its all highlights. Driver uncle spoke nicely and explained everything in detail. We ate our dinner at small restaurant called “little world” at Palolem beach which was tasty. I will recommend this to veg food lovers for authentic taste and good portion size. All those looking for quite stay away from hustle of North Goa with best amenities and an almost private beach can look no further. Small advice to the management – Service shortfalls and minor management rules takes away some happiness from all the ones you get from exceptionally big and well maintained property.…
