A very nice and beautiful place. Neha was amazing, we got help from her about most everything. From what food to choose from the menu to questions about phrases we wanted to learn in Hindi. The owner Thibault was also very kind and welcoming. What the group did not like that much about this place, is that during night time it was a bit noisy. The staff said it was fireworks but the sound was much higher and was sounding more like an explosion or a bomb. We experienced this both our two nights. Some local was walking in the tent area at night time making noise which didn't feel that pleasant when there was no lock on the tents. You could also hear the train from the other side of the river. It would be really nice to be able to go on a boat in the river!

My girl-friend and I stayed at La Mangrove for 4 nights. Beautiful location right by the river, only 4 tipis, very friendly staff. Beautiful Galgibag beach is a mere 2 km away and can be easily reached by bike/scooter. The food at La Mangrove is fabulous, we ended up having dinner there every single night even though there were great options on thre beach (e.g. Santosh). Thibault, the owner, and his wife Maud are very nice. We´can highly recommend La Mangrove and if we were to go back to Goa, we would surely stay there again.

This place is quiet quaint and very quiet, so if you are looking for a place to get away from it all this is the place. They also offer bikes that you can easily ride to the beach, there are about 4 or 5 bikes so get them early! Everything we ate was amazing and I highly recommend the veggie soup and chocolate Momo's!! Staff was very attentive and took great care of us! We stayed for two days, which was more then enough for us as we like a little more action, but I'm glad we had the experience!!

Me and my boyfriend were blown away by this place! It is exactly like the pictures (which is often not the case in india) The french/dutch couple owning the place was wonderful and so genuine and friendly. They also hade great staff who took excelent care of us. I cant praise La Mangrove enough... we ended up staying there several days in a row to enjoy the amazing food, calm location and the sound of the djungle. Its in the south of Palolem and they helped us to rent scooters so we could get around Goa easily. It took about 30min of easy driving to Patnem. One of the greatest experience of my life was when visiting a spice farm close by. Ask the manager about it and he will help you out. I will definately be back sooner than later. JUST GO! (Except if you are looking for party, then this is a bit far from the busy streets and restaurants)

Such a wonderful place to stay. Only a limited number of people so it's very peaceful. Also away from the busy parts of Goa. The food is amazing and it's just lovely and relaxing staying in the glamping style in this wonderful part of the world! Hosts and incredibly attentive and helpful and lovely but also very chilled out which adds to the relaxing vibe.

My wife and I were visiting Goa for the first time. I must admit, when she first showed me La Mangrove I was skeptical. It was our honeymoon and it being our first time in this part of the world I wanted to be sure everything would go smoothly. I thought it would be safer to stick to a brand name hotel, (which we ended up doing for the 2nd half of our journey). I was sorely mistaken and ended up wishing we had spent more time at La Mangrove. Thibault, the owner and manager of La Mangrove was a perfect host. He contacted us to arrange an airport pick up for a good price, (well appreciate for new travellers to Goa). He was waiting for us when we arrived. Meeting him upon our somewhat late arrival, strangers in a dark and new place put us at ease. He offered us a meal, and sat to chat with us, patiently answering our questions, making welcome suggestions and generally making us feel very much at home. All my trepidations vanished quickly. La Mangrove is a unique eco style 'hotel'. It consists of 4 teepees, each which has its own personal bathroom. I was blown away by how lovely these simple structures were. They were the perfect blend of minimalism with a few modern comforts, (wifi, electricity, a fan, good lighting, a mosquito net, etc.). Thibault didn't assume anything and took the time to show us around which for travellers new to this style of accommodation was also very much appreciated. As funny as it may seem the bathroom was both a source of joy, (having an open air shower/toilet was such a novel/fun/refreshing experience) and anxiety. You see there's no water to flush the toilet, instead you have to use compost to cover up in the toilet when you've done your business. I appreciate that Thibault checked with us if we were OK with this and offered us traditional toilets in the main house/kitchen area of the small hotel in case we were uncomfortable. Sure it was an adjustment but this seemingly trivial detail set the tone for stepping (slightly) out of our comfort zone and being in a new and unfamiliar environment. The hotel is beautiful beyond my ability to put into words. Being small you become familiar with the few other guests who are there. There is a shared common area with lovely and comfortable seating for meals and day beds by the lovely river for relaxing. My wife woke for sunrise the day after arriving and were tempted to lounge around and not leave the hotel - it's that beautiful. But leave we did and Thibault again came to the rescue making the best suggestions, offering help with transportation, etc. I won't bore you with details but essentially there are several beaches close by which were life changing in their beauty, access to restaurants, (again, Thibault made some wonderful suggestions) and being in a residential area, taking a bike or scooter out for exploration was absolutely gorgeous, refreshing, cleansing and so enjoyable. The area the hotel is located in is located in is quiet - far from the mainstream tourist party scene we heard so much about. Whether you want a break from that style of visit or you want to avoid it all together, La Mangrove is truly a gorgeous place to go and reconnect with yourself. The food, (particularly the breakfast) is delicious. Each morning we'd get up at sunset excited knowing that the wonderful staff would prepare us a comforting home style breakfast. We actually ate most of our meals there because of how good they were. The amazing staff went above and beyond to help us feel at home. Ever present and yet never intrusive they saw to every detail including helping us with our daily excursions. Special thanks to Raj, (I'm hope that's his name, sincerely sorry if I got it wrong!) who became a welcome sight by the end of our, (too short) visit. It's been 3 weeks and my wife and I are still buzzing from our joyous visit to this splendid hotel. I cannot suggest this place enough to anyone and I absolutely cannot wait to go back. Thank you La Mangrove!

Super relaxing and beautiful location in the middle of the mangrove forest, yet still within minutes by bicycle, scooter, car to the beach (Galgibag being undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches for anyone looking to avoid the tourist crowds). We spent four nights and could have definitely stayed longer...

It is definitely a hidden paradice, in the end of the most beautiful beach in Goa and on the real mangrove touching the river in which you could get a dip while chilling at the place. Amazing menu and ambience!
