Wonderful memories of this place, first taste of Goa back in 2014. The manager, Kevin could not do enough for Cynthia and myself and I hope he remembers us. We hope to visit again in the future. Thank you.
I stayed in the Ticlo after asking people for recommendations as I wanted to move from a noisy hotel, I had two weeks there & was happy with the room comfort, a decent restaurant with nightly entertainment, friendly staff and a good location. The only downsides were that the pool is mainly in the shade which didn't bother me as I never use hotel pools and at weekends there were some Indian families who are not the quietest of people & tend to leave their apartment doors open so as you can hear the screeching children & shouty parents, I had that with my next door neighbour and asked them to close their door which they did so the noise wasn't too bad then. I enjoyed my stay there and shall probably use the Ticlo again on my next visit to Goa.
Arrived at the Ticlo on 28/12/19 for a three week break, where I was staying on a bed/breakfast basis. What a great hotel, staff are wonderful, kind and so helpful on any issues, that they could/would assist you with, such as locations of interest to visit and we all enjoyed playing volley ball in the early evenings. The manager Kevin was similar to being a friend that you had known for years, even though never met Kevin until staying at this Hotel. The breakfast I had was brilliant, due to a wonderful choice that was offered. I do become a Roman, when in Rome, (Trusting that you understand this comment), three weeks of which had my appetite had been full ... filled with a variety of tastes. The room I had been given, supplied all that was required of myself fridge, air con, kettle with coffee and it was always clean and tidied when I returned. There is a pool, which was always in use without any over crowding, where you could/would socialize with other guests with all drinks/food available. I have stayed in many Hotels in the Calangute, Candolim and Baga area but this was now MY number one. …
I have stayed in this place 5 times in last 10 years. Biggest plus is Location, right on Calangute - Baga road. But I will suggest few improvements, if they really care for their guests. 1. No complimentary water. Water was made available at 50% higher price, which is illegal ans someone can take them to court. 2. Breakfast need better spread. 3. They can maintain own fleet of taxis for Airport drop and pick up, though Taxis were easily available just outside the hotel. Nevertheless, will stay here again.
This hotel is great and cheap, i have stayed here on many occasions and never had any issues, rooms are very nice. The staff are amazing and great with kids, love to keep them entertained. The pool is lovely with attached baby pool. Food is lovely, never had any issues Joshy is fantastic at what he does, always lovely and very helpful. The location is fantastic not far from beach, local to shops and bars. I would definitely recommend this hotel
I travel India and Nepal a lot and focus on budget hotels: I prefer to spend on the experience and less on lodging. I usually have a positive budget-friendly stay. This time it was horrible! I had a 6-night reservation and “evacuated the situation” after two nights, EVEN THOUGH I knew I would not receive a refund. It was that awful and awkward. Several of the staff were consistently rude. The room quality was unacceptable: cracks in the wall, mold stains and strong smell, curtains that did not cover the window, and several other problems. I spent 5 hours trying to work it out with them, but became so uncomfortable with the behavior of certain staff that I cut my losses and made other arrangements. My friends who were to join me here also canceled their trip without a refund. For the first time in writing several reviews, I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel. …
Perfectly located place at Calangute Baga road, all attractions just within 500 meters, courteous staff and service. Clean rooms and delicious food. Ideal for friends and family. Suggested for medium and long stay
Stayed with my family at Ticlo resort, Goa in october 2019.We had booked 2 Executive Rooms. This is the best category room of this hotel. On reaching was surprised to find the best category rooms are located at the extreme back side of the hotel where there is a garbage dumping area covered by nets. The interior of the rooms are good. But the worst part is the food and service. They serve all dishes in the menu card but it's stale and stinking. The chef can only cook starters for drinks and nothing else. Never try Non veg food here. We had breakfast included room tariff, but sorry to say their breakfast quality is not fit for guests who are paying high price for their executive rooms. The restaurant has no ac only fans and no power back up. So you have to sweat and have your meal. The sofas are so closely placed that the guy sitting next to you would be breathing down your neck. Poor quality, untrained staff with rude behaviour. Only the housekeeping department deserve a 5 star they are very efficient and keep the rooms very clean. The owner we came to know is a local MLA and perhaps has no time to see how the hotel is functioning. So if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel with low standards go for this one but people who want good service and hospitality and are paying for it, this is not the recommended hotel for them. My 4nts stay was pathetic.…
Stayed here for 04 nights from 03-July, booked 04 deluxe rooms which are big enough to occupy 02 adults and a child with a balcony and sitting area. Nice and friendly staff, good room service. They provide us all 04 rooms in the same building and in the same floor. Good breakfast, clean swimming pool with pool side bar near to market and beach. the only issue is that property don't have lift facility so if u are travelling with kids or old aged please ask for rooms at 1st or 2nd floor.
Stayed from 2nd June to 4th June Pro- Very close to Calangute beach and market Good Swimming pool, Bar and restaurant area. Rooms are clean and nitty. Good for family Cons Less place for parking No room service for second day Frequently cut of electricity , room was near generator with big noise, you can’t sleep. Breakfast is not upto the mark...Water with fruity given as orange juice Complementary bottles only on first day Overall its average hotel to stay at Calangute.
