The Hard Rock Hotel Goa is often celebrated for its prime location, close to beaches and Calangute, although the approach road receives some criticism. While the hotel's cleanliness and well-maintained areas are commended by many guests, issues such as mosquitoes and room cleaning have been flagged. The property is generally considered good value, offering affordable dining options, yet some guests suggest there's room for improvement in quality. Reviews indicate a split opinion on service, with some guests praising the staff's warmth and professionalism, and others pointing out inefficiencies.
The lively atmosphere, centered around music and entertainment, is a hit, though not without remarks on the volume and repetitiveness of the music. Amenities like the refreshing pool and the Tonic Bar are highlights, despite minor maintenance concerns. Room experiences vary, with some guests enjoying the space and cleanliness, while others report maintenance neglect and noise disturbances.

Room, staff, hospitality, property, facilities everything was great and it was amazing experience. They were really supportive and helpful. We had a small baby and they served unlimited milk and khichdi so it was the best part as well they sterilized my baby bottles all the days when i stayed.

I have been fortunate enough to stay in a lot of lovely hotels all over the world however I have never encountered such fantastic staff. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble and every single member of staff is friendly and helpful.
The whole hotel and pool area is spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was very good.
I have seen some reviews saying that the location isn’t great however I disagree, within a 5 minute walk you are at bars, shops and restaurants. Yes the hotel is down a bit of a lane but it literally takes two minutes to walk and even when returning late at night there was plenty of light from surrounding buildings.
The only negative about this hotel for me was the ‘Saturday brunch’ People come to the hotel and drink as much as they possibly can in 3 1/2 hours resulting in some appalling behaviour. I can see why the hotel hold this event as it must be very profitable however unfortunately it means many people who are staying at the hotel have to leave during a Saturday daytime as the hotel gets overrun by really drunk people. This really is a lovely hotel however having unconscious people laying about the hotel grounds because of the ‘Saturday brunch’ just really isn’t acceptable.

We stayed in this hotel in late July 2022 during monsoons.
Pros:
Very clean hotel
Good room service
Friendly staff
Breakfast (English and Indian)
Parking facility for my rented bike
Paid cab service available in 2 mins (but not cheap though, which is OK)
After checked out, they allowed to keep my bags at front desk. So that i can go out and come back after 2 hrs.
Cons:
Location - Probably this changes person by person. We did not liked calangute area and its beach. We wish we stayed between Candolim and Aguada.
Hot water in shower - The hot water is not available in mid nights and early mornings. So plan accordingly if you have any plans to head out early morning and return back in late night
Swimming Pool view: We booked swimming pool view room for extra cost. Its not a straight view and there is no balcony to enjoy the view. The worst part is, the entire window/glass is covered with window blinds which cannot be completely removed. All you can do is, sneak thru the gaps in between blinds. What a view for the extra amount we paid for it. I suggest, go for no view rooms for lesser price.
Food at lunch time - Our package comes with breakfast and it was good, i have no issues in that. We ordered lunch from menu, some of the menu items are not available. We had to choose Murg Tikka appetizer and Chicken Biryani as main course.
Murg Tikka appetizer: Chicken was not fully grilled, inner part of chicken was still red and chewy. We asked to replace it and replacement item was a bit better than earlier but still not cooked fully.
Chicken Biryani: The rice was hard and grainy, it is supposed to be fluffy. Which means it is not fully cooked. This time we did not asked for replacement as we understood the skills of Chef.
So lessons learned and we had lunch and dinner outside.

For a five-star international hotel chain, the Hard Rock Hotel (Goa) lacks a personality and the uniqueness that is expected from a similar cadre of hotels. The only differentiator is the lobby which showcases a few Hard Rock collectibles and the Goa style roofing.
The food is very uninspiring. Hard Rock Cafe in Delhi NCR does a better job, hands down. The breakfast spread is fairly elaborate (as expected from a similar hotel) but very subpar in quality as compared to other 4 and 5-star hotels. The rooms (we stayed in the twin rooms) boast the same feel and ambiance of a decent OYO we can get for a third of the price we pay here. The washrooms have no concept of privacy - you can sneeze in the washroom and it can be heard throughout the room and perhaps in the adjoining room.
As for the Covid regulations, they take care in terms of disinfecting the suitcases during check in and also checking the temperature of the guests. They also make the guests sign a waiver. Apart from that, there is no indication that the hotel is actually taking the right precautions. The dining rooms are overcrowded with hardly any space to move during breakfast and dinner timings. There are no guidelines of social distancing or facemask that are enforced within the premises. All in all, risk it if you are up for it. The hotel clearly isn't accepting bookings in a manner that enables them to enforce the safety guidelines.
For the plus, the staff is extremely nice and helpful. The internet is reliable. The gym is fairly better than most hotels. But these are expected for the price you pay, so no biggie.

I stayed at Hard Rock during Christmas which in COVID times make it a challenging time to evaluate performance. Overall the place attempts to be trendy with rock star pictures and fancy names. The service staff tries to be attentive and food is average though costly( room service tea costs 300 odd and 5 dim sum 500 ). The real problem though is room and basic amenities. In my 3 days phone didn’t work, AC temperature adjustment didn’t work, wifi stopped working after 1St day, rooms allow too much sound to come from outside which is a big pain because they play loud music till 11 PM and we had noisy neighbors. The location is calnguate so central but a bit chaotic and the hotel is located in a narrow , dirty lane so not very easy to walk around. The hotel has a DJ on most days, gym is small but working.
So in summary, if you are a rock fan and traveling with friends and want to be close to baga it may be okay but avoid for family travels as better places with in same range a re available.

The hotel is not in the best location as there are limited bars and restaurants close by. The drinks were twice as much in the hotel as anywhere else which is a bit disappointing as you are limited when leaving the hotel for bars and restaurants within close walking distance. (A small bottle of Kingfisher was 300r, but only 130 if you drank it out of the minibar in your room?) The Saturday brunch party was a good way for the hotel to make extra money, but really spoilt the ambience of the hotel. We arrived on the Saturday at the back end of the afternoon and were shocked by the number of drunk people (mostly I would say over 60's ), it was all a little cringe worthy! The people who visited were there just to drink as much as they could in the time and it was rather embarrassing to see, one lady was getting changed at the side of the pool and showing all she had and someone told us they had seen someone urinating in the bushes!. Needless to say we made sure we were out of the hotel for the other Saturdays in our stay. The buffet breakfast is good, the young man on the omelette station very nice and helpful. Dinner was nice when you could chose from the main menu, but the buffet was repetitive. The rooms were clean and to a high standard.

We recently stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel, Goa as a family. It was a very bad experience, but partly made good in the end by a staff member who accepted the problems. I’d enlist some critical points:
1.This is not a five star hotel. It is a four star hotel at best. The housekeeping and cleaning is not up to the mark. Every time I got down from the lift to go to my room, I would see used plates just stacked one upon the other, not cleaned for hours. The housekeeping we had, we may as well not have had it.
2.The walls are quite thin, so you can hear everything happening in the other room. We struggled to get any sleep at night and it was really disappointing.
3.The hotel staff in general are quite lax with COVID protocols. I would notice that most of them do not wear their masks. Particularly in the buffet restaurant, the waitress would never wear her mask.
4.The breakfast buffet was strictly average.
5.Hotel service at the bar and the restaurant was extraordinarily bad. It was so laidback that I cancelled my order twice and they didn’t even register that they failed to serve me drinks within 30 minutes.
I had a particularly lame stay. The taxi union outside was charging extortionary prices. The hotel staff was extremely slow. The TV in the room did not work. Housekeeping did not clean the room when asked. There was randomly no hot water during the stay. The blinds used in the room should be replaced with dark curtains. We were woken up every night by the loud noises of drunk guests, and even though the hotel offered to place security outside the room, it really did not help.
In the end, the front desk manager understood all the above points, and offered to waive my food and beverage spend and offered us a cab for the day to take us around. I truly appreciate his sincerity, but I cannot recommend Hard Rock, Goa to anyone looking for a peaceful stay. Deeply disappointed and don’t think I’d be coming back again.

Hard Rock Hotel, Goa is very conveniently located at Calangute area. All the hotspots of North Goa are very easily accessible from this hotel. It's not a beach property but Calangute beach is 1Km from the hotel. Just outside the hotel, there is main market of Calangute. The hotel is beautiful especially the pool area. You can enjoy by the pool with live music. Overall, the hotel had a very nice ambience and
smell. You get a good feeling when you enter the hotel. The rooms & bathroom are large in size with good interiors. One should opt for a pool view room. Pool view rooms make you feel like you are part of the hotel. As per Goibibo's booking policy, we were to be upgraded to Pool view room but when we checked in, we were offered non pool view room citing reason that all pool view rooms are sold out. These non pool view rooms seemed very secluded from the hotel. We didn't get good vibes in that room, so we requested Front Desk to change our room. So, we were shifted to pool view room on ground floor which was amazing. We thank hotel staff for acceding to our request. The only negative thing, I would like to point out was when we asked for milk for our kid, sometimes they took 30-45 minutes to deliver the milk to our room. We had to call 3-4 times for the milk. Apart from that, we loved our stay at the hotel.

We stayed at Hard Rock Goa for two nights. The hotel is very commercial with rooms being quite small. They have quite a few rooms so its always noisy with guest running around. The breakfast buffet wasn’t really special and was crowded, I expected the hotel to put a limit on number of guest that could come in for breakfast to be seated in the same hall given the corona situation. This hotel generally attracts big groups of guest so if you are looking for personalised luxury look somewhere else.
The location is very convenient with most famous spots not being more than 40mins away. I hope this could be a only adults hotels in the future.

I wouldn’t say to 5 star I would give it a fall at the top end of 3 star first of all all that they could do with umbrellas around the pool on the one side as you are in the Sun all day there’s no shade at all. You do have to fight for the bed in the morning. If you do want the sun you need to get up early. The rooms are okay clean and tidy could do a bit more clean in the bathroom and those mould scum down the shower doors and on the tiles need to be washed down properly if you are prone to getting a bit by Muzzy I would advise you to buy some mozzie spray from the local chemist and spray your room at night if you’re going out for a meal the stuff of every friendly happy to help you DJ. The music is awesome plays all kinds of music for all different people from Soul dance 60s 80s Indie Asian music or pretty good can’t fault it. Music stops bang on 10 o’clock so no annoying music if you wish to go to bed at 10 o’clock TV service in the room you have satellite TV don’t get excited not much English on there or Asian TV if you have iPhone would be Worth investing in a device what clicks to the bottom of your phone and use a HDMI unit to the telly and then watch TV or Netflix through your iPhone you can get them for Samsung phones Internet is it hit and miss Sometimes you get it sometimes you don’t quality of the food is okay very good. If you have paid for an evening meal you are restricted to the buffet or a set menu. If you do try to eat out the other menu then you will Get build for it they charge your service charge every time you use the bar I got the service charges removed. I find tipping person who I feel needs tipping not they telling me I’ve got to tip everybody in the hotel room again you have a minibar which is everything is chargeable The water is free in the room if you go to the bar you have to pay for it but overall I would give this 8 out of 10 couple of things it doesn’t need to improve on
