Was our first time in goa, staff very friendly and helpful , the changed our room, very helpful for information, was my birthday while I was there , had balloons cake. Yes basic clean an friendly such a warm welcome. We going back march. So supper excited to se the staff an chill by pool enjoy the entertainment. See you guys soon .
As indicated = 2-Stars property...do not have high expectations (especially batheroom & noisy A/C -- when working)...was disappointed with location and distance to the beach area...Had 1 week booked - stayed only 2 nights...can do better even at this price range
What a great hotel, great staff, food and atmosphere and located in a spot away from the main road. We are returning in December for a 2 weeks, I can't find and fault in the place, I highly recommended
Stayed two weeks at the Osbourne. Although the hotel is very basic, daily cleaning and change of linen and towels soon made up for this. Good choice of breakfast, snack and evening menus if you wish to have a pool day. Loved the free meal vouchers and evening entertainment. Staff very polite and friendly. As a single traveller, I felt very safe at this hotel which is located 10 mins from holiday street, a stones throw from the bars and restaurants. I would recommend hiring a local tour taxi for the day in seeing true Goan life. Loved my stay at the Osbourne. Sadly, they are fully booked for 2020 which says something about the place.
Stayed here with husband and friends for 3 weeks and loved it. Rooms big and cleaned every day. Beds changed every day and so are the towels. 3 meal tickets per week and food lovely. All staff are very friendly. Pool area very clean. Only draw back i would say is they need more sun beds and parasols.
Visited this hotel in march 2019 and it is the WORST hotel I have EVER stayed in! Upon arrival the sheets were dirty, the bed and fridge and lamp mouldy! The staff changed the bedding the same night, but didn't change the lamp, fridge and my bed till the following day! The new fridge leaked, and was not changed even after numerous complaints! The fan and toilet seat were broken! The sockets were dangerous, and only 2 sockets for 3 of us! Loads of power cuts - why no generator! Internet chargeable and breakfast and hotel food poor! Self catering, but no self catering facilities! No kettle, no cooker, no plates, cups or cutlery! 70's style decor, needs totally updating! One Jer between 3 of us, £25 for an extra key! Safety deposit boxes downstairs and you have to use them by 8pm, or you can't get any money out! Reception closes at 12 and then staff sleep on the sofas! Showers rubbish! Fixed to the wall so you cannot shower properly! Staff were helpful and pool area ok, but no entertainment during the day, and only 2 evenings in the week! Never been to such a shoddy, dirty hotel before! Why Thomas cook would send their customers to this hotel is beyond me! WOULD NEVER VISIT AGAIN and advise everyone DO NOT STAY IN THIS SUBSTANDARD HOTEL…
Stayed here with hubbie and friends after visiting our friends last year who was staying at the Osborne. Great value for money hotel friendly helpful staff . Stayed at Phoenix park last year and yes accommodation was modern and nice but the atmosphere was cold and nowhere near as friendly and welcoming as the Osbourne. Lots of repeat holidaymakers which speaks for it self really . And everyone of them was chatty and friendly . Rooms was huge and more than adequate for us,and was cleaned every single day . Breakfast was as much toast and marmalade/jam as wanted but could buy eggs and other brekkie if you wanted .and cheap as chips We was more than happy with this because unlike other b&bs they also gave every person 3 x 3 buffet dinners which we never used as we only stayed a week and so many restaurants to try outside but will do when we return next year as the guests told us how good the food was . Would highly recommend the Osbourne its a proper goan hotel the grounds are lovely pools are fantastic and very accomadating staff . I have to stayed at and visited many beautiful hotels, but the Osborne is where I will be visiting again next year . Fab week …
Been to this hotel 10 + times still love it . I see all my friends year after year.w hotel just seem to be better every time i visit. The reception are so helpfull if you get problem they deal with it instantly. Rooms are kept spotlessly clean every day by busy roomboys.Waiters are so polite and very busy they are so friendly and always find time to talk to you . I had problem with air con i contacted reception it was done with in 2 hours what mire can you say . Food is exelent at osborne with indian dancing and buffet 3 times a week which is awsum. Outside hotel is a bar called zicos which is best food and drink in goa. Tony and his family are very nice people and the cooks are the best . The only issue with osborne is lack of umberellas around pool area which i took i took up with edwin the manager . Cant wait for next year fab hotel value for money…
arrived back yesterday from our 3rd visit to the osborne where do i start firstly the staff from the very helpfull sara and the other guys in reception if theres any problems they will do they upmost to get it sorted, then everyone who works in the hotel really make our stay special always smiling and looking after everybody thats there, we booked seperate flights for next year and was going to try something different but after a few days we was sold on this gem of a place and booked direct for jan, from the position of the hotel and everything around it the taxi drivers are great and will take you anywhere also anthony in zicos brillliant food a must try place and a few shops also in the area one thing i will say is you know your going to india and you get brilliant basic accomodation if you want the ritz then you wont find it here but we love everything it has to offer and counting down for next year see you soon osborne staff…
I honestly cant understand why there are negative reviews regards this resort. Ok its basic but its clean and tidy the food is very very good and priced about right. if you are looking for luxury then the Osborne isnt for you but for a nice chilled out 14 day break this was right up our street. Also add that the staff were very good and we met some wonderful friendly people as well.
